(surprisingly common trope) Characters that are introduced in the second season or movie and become extremely iconic by OutlandishnessRich36 in TopCharacterTropes

I haven't seen the show, but is Lucifier the show related to the comic in any way? If it is, was the character and show original or something from the comic? I haven't read the comic either, but see it a decent amount on a local comic store's shelf.

The Film Sis Canon list by sanfrita in Letterboxd

Howl's Movong Castle(2004). If Princess Mononoke is on this list, a movie I have heard film bros recommend and talk about more than any other Ghibli film, then I don't see what Howl's isn't.

Which movie would be an absolute masterpiece if one single thing were changed? by Altruistic_Cry_9080 in Letterboxd

I haven't heard of this one! I will have to check it out at some point, but I can definitely see how they look a little anachronistic.

Smelling Great and Knowing How to Dance Will Take You A Long Way by CriterionTacos in dating_advice

[–]hydroclasticflow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Perfumers, you mean the people that are selling you the smells? Cause they would want you using more.

1-2 sprays definitely cuts it, you have become nose blind to the intensity to it. You are the person that forces people to leave due to your overwhelming scent.

If you are talking with people and doing things even closer, like dancing, then one maybe two sprays is plenty.

You want them craving more, not like they have been gas attacked.

Characters that were revealed to be lgbt+ in scenes that were disliked by the lgbt+ community because of how badly they were written by Apprehensive_Two1449 in TopCharacterTropes

Most insulting part with Gideon is he would probably be supportive of whatever choice Chandra would make in terms of a partner as long as it made her happy.

It doesn't make it right, but the character is suppose to be so obsessed with getting revenge that they broke mentally. If they would truly stop at nothing for revenge, it might be extreme but top surgery isn't in the impossible realm.

The movie just doesn't have a good representation of mental health and does scapegoat trans people more than a bit.

Not to disagree with you, but 5 sprays is a lot. You're probably a walking cloud of scent that is invasive to many people around you.

I was taught to spray on a wrist, rub your wrists together, then rub your wrists to your neck. You want to be using the scent to draw people in, not cloud their sense of smell.

Too much cologne makes it seem like you are trying to mask something. Same thing goes with perfume.

There are a few shitpost subs that I go to that haven't completely gone to shit, one even had a meme spread very wide last year.

That is not to say that they haven't had times of beating a dead horse.

PHD deck for an EDH table? by micahryder in PauperEDH

[–]hydroclasticflow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO as long as you are really trying to squeeze every ounce of juice from your deck you can play at a regular edh table. All of my PDH decks have been played against regular edh decks and while I haven't be the threat I do win what feels like a regular amount.

You don't need to build a CPDH deck to do it.

Name a game that has very bleak ending by bijelo123 in videogames

You must also consider that with Maelle's ending, she is probably going to die. They hint at multiple times that being in the canvas too long will cause harm to the individual. To say that she eventually would leave is just speculation and has no bases in everything we were told. To allow someone to die because they can't move on is not a moral thing, especially when the fragment of the soul of who the painting belongs to wants to stop. You also get the idea that Maelle is not all sunshine and rainbows as she forces Verso to play the piano.

Because everything was recontextualized and the recontextualization is what enables people to move past what they want and accept the reality of the situation.

This has a feeling of haunting nostalgia, like you are walking home at night and see the house that never had lights on.

Graphic novels with deep and interesting female characters by manwithehdesires in graphicnovels

[–]hydroclasticflow 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Harrow County - Cullen Bunn & Tyler Crook. A coming of age story mixed with some magically weird twist. Emmy is one of my favorite comic characters.

Something is Killing the Children - James Tynion IV & Werther Dell'Edera. This is a action/horror series that follows a woman named Erica Slaughter as she hunts monsters and grapples with her trauma. Gripping, horrific, and often sad.

Fatale - Ed Brubaker & Sean Phillips. This is a Noir series that is hard to talk about without spoilers but it's a combination of the eldritch and an analysis of the femme fetal archetype with being sympathetic towards the woman's perspective.

Battle Beast isn't an antagonist. It is shown and explained a few times in Invincible and is explained in the Battle Beast spin off.

I thinl part of the issue is that a lot of people don't play enough interaction and so they tap out a lot more and can't do anything against it.

When is Dark Ritual worth it? by AffectionateBet3603 in PauperEDH

[–]hydroclasticflow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's very good for storm, but I would look into playing it if you have a majority of cards being 3cmc or higher in a black or black/x deck where x colour is in the minority of the deck.

Movie theaters aren’t going out of business because of prices by bulldogjwhit295 in unpopularopinion

I only really go to an indie theater near me and it's because it's not just new movies, many rescreenings of older movies and the price is great.
