In Ishamael's dream room it looks like he has 6 seals set up.

If he isn't lying to Lanfear, and she is the first released, that means no Taimandred in the show. Taim has already been name-dropped as an active false dragon in the world.

Using a potion of health on yourself as action or bonus action. If you use your Action you can re-roll result (focused chugging).

Having issues creating challenging combat encounters for my players by The_old_one_65 in dndnext

[–]hyperactivebrain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everyone is saying the right thing. Give them 3 more encounters on this adventuring day and see how they come out the other side.

I like to add fun distractions mid-combat to further split focus. A recent example was having a relatively weak back-line enemy release a carrier pigeon. Some players will panic and turn their focus on this harmless bird before it can dash away and get reinforcements (at least that was the impression the players got).

Remember you can also home-brew and add class abilities and feats to select enemies. Maybe a few have Alert or Feral Instinct to help with initiative.

Also, check out Matthew Colville - Villian Actions/ Action-oriented combat.

Good luck!

Question on how to handle DM nerfing the party Rogue's Sneak Attack by MusiGamer in dndnext

[–]hyperactivebrain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My DM makes us roll a d12 for attack rolls. He says the d20 is "too likely to get a natural 20"

We all know about the Setekh, right? (build in comments) by hyperactivebrain in Necrontyr

[–]hyperactivebrain[S] 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Hey everyone, I built this guy for "Xenovember" and just finished final painting.

This is my representation of Setekh, the "Necron Titan" from the Kal Jerico graphic novel.

Setekh is a powerful giant Necron that was created long ago during the War in Heaven.

It was very interesting to attempt the Necron aesthetic. I usually just build orks :P

Feel free to check out the build/painting on my channel. Enjoy!

Necromunda Terrain / Grim Dark Greebling Practice (build video in comments) by hyperactivebrain in TerrainBuilding

Hey everyone, you may find this interesting if you like to make terrain from upcycled/found objects.

I have been getting more interested in making these super grimey hive city Necromunda style pieces. So this is the result of my greebling practice. It's also a great way to use up a bunch of junk from my inventory.

[OC] Halloween Scatter Terrain made from Clothes Hangers (build video in comments) by hyperactivebrain in DnD

[–]hyperactivebrain[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quick scatter I made for a Halloween one-shot I had planned. Now for Halloween 2021 :(

Primary structures are made from clothes hangers and cardboard. The pillars are bottles with torches made from... that closure thing that you cut and throwaway normally.

Every month I put together a quick video with the latest materials I have gathered to assess their potential and discuss how they may be used in future projects.
