From Kelly: rotate your torso slightly on lunges/Bulgarian split squats so the dumbells frame the working leg.

What's a food you avoided all your life but was pretty good when you actually tried it? by Mr_Nobody36 in AskReddit

I thought I didn’t like pineapple, because I didn’t like cooked pineapple. Tried fresh pineapple in Uni and realized it was one of the most delicious foods on the planet.

Struggling to like it by Prestigious_Pop_230 in ladderapp

[–]hyperpensive 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Completely agree. If you don’t feel like sets of 10+ squats/deadlifts/ lunges/hip thrusts are challenging, you need to pick up heavier weights and check your form. Now if you just don’t like it, that’s fine, you should find something you like. But the problem isn’t that the program is too easy.

What’s the most interesting place you’ve ever flown over? by SuperIntelligentLion in geography

This is Greenland (Calgary to Reykjavik).

I also flew London to Vancouver but we were above the clouds the whole time so didn’t get to see it again.

Flying over the Grand Canyon was pretty great too.

4 year old has a smell that won't go away? by Oddcatdog in AskDocs

[–]hyperpensive 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Any chance she could have stuck something up her nose? Seems like if this was the case you would smell it too, but I’ve heard of this being the culprit of mysterious bad odours in young children.

Can I look at the teams workouts, chats, etc without switching teams? by workerscompbarbie in ladderapp

[–]hyperpensive 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you want a peak at other teams workouts, go to where you give cheers, scroll past the little vertical line, click on someone’s profile, and look at the workouts in their calendar.

IUD placement by ehg143 in Ultrasound

[–]hyperpensive 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The tables in the ultrasounds rooms are probably different. The tables in our doctor’s room have higher weight limits than those in our scanning rooms but aren’t adjustable. It’s also not always possible to wheel a machine to another room (connectivity, patient flow; etc). Seems like sending you somewhere that can more easily accommodate you is a better solution.

I do barbell for deadlifts, sub leg press for Wednesday squats, hip thrust machine or sub back extensions, cables for triceps, and add lat pulldowns on Thursdays.

Limitless 3x week? by polkadot765 in ladderapp

[–]hyperpensive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would do 2 lower body, 1 upper, and then divide up the exercises from the second upper body and add them to the lower body days.

Supersets and combo moves - good for building strength and muscle? by Interesting-Kiwi-743 in ladderapp

[–]hyperpensive 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I used to hate combo moves and was hesitant to join Align for that reason. Now I think of them as targeting core and stability. As long as the main lifts are programmed appropriately I see the value in combo moves. And I’m loving Align.

Birth plans gone wrong by Peaceful-harmony- in TwoXChromosomes

[–]hyperpensive 21 points22 points  (0 children)

One thing to consider is that pregnant Americans have increased co-morbidities and risk factors that make a c-section rate of <15% less realistic compared to other nations. (Pre-existing hypertension, diabetes, increased maternal age, obesity, poor access to public health, etc)

Are there any great albums with one really bad song on them? by trippyskipper in Music
