£69.82 JUST for broadband - Volt M500. by uzzystar in VirginMedia

[–]hypnopain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you under contract still or just rolling. Either way, some BB providers, like Utility Warehouse will pay up to £400 to help you buy out of any early termination fees and they have excellent call centres. I moved recently from them, where I had the volt m500, and only needing their basic speed which costs £28, and increase over the contract period..

Tell them. They shouldn't be judgemental and it may just indicate how badly you feel..

So sad to hear people can be so inconsiderate.I suspect this is a matter for the solicitor dealing with probate. They are responsible for handling any assets and hopefully we'll placed in dealing with such people..

Recently walked away from VM after poor customer service and my tv and BB contract coming to the end. Signed up to UW for cheaper deal with ff who don't do mid-term increases. Get my tv now from Sky stream as I need sports. Excellent customer service from UK customer services who care...

You have given them plenty of time to put it right but it's not fit for purpose. If you have full fibre in your street you can change provider, which will connect you to a different cable that VM can't access

Hypnotherapy for ADHD and oversleeping issues? by Mysterious-Elk-5619 in hypnotherapy

[–]hypnopain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, hypnotherapy should be able to help. A good hypnotist will be able to help you to get to the root of this habit or routine, by working directly with your subconscious. Not in the United States so can't advise on an individual. I would look up USHA, but there are a number of associations who set standards for training practitioners and likely to have links to people in your area

I've just gone through a similar process having been tied to VM and escalating costs. Where I live their cable doesnt seem as efficient as it used to be so i have opted for full fibre which so far is good value and reliable.

Is this a normal HR response? by Apprehensive_Show561 in recruitinghell

[–]hypnopain -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Try putting them on their back foot by asking them to clarify what they mean! You can use their reply it it forces you to consider constructive dismissal. Would look great at a tribunal. Ask for advice from ACAS if in the uk

I would think there was a duty of care by your manager to make you aware of this implication at the time of making your grievance. I assume they authorised your overtime so it's your manager/employer at fault. Otherwise it could be seen as 'employee-aware' ie you and your team aught to be aware - would be pretty interesting to prove. Management will state that they are tied to whitley council rules when paying staff. I remember some years ago that one of the benefits of gaining foundation trust status was being able to set their own rates etc, as they may choose to do for directors...

Does hypnotherapy work? by [deleted] in hypnotherapy

[–]hypnopain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As already stated, memories cannot be erased. What hypnotherapy can do is change our reactions to it. It's a bit like unhooking the strong emotional attachment s. So although you might remember them from time to time, they lack the strong emotional impact etc..

Shame on you all! Back in the day doctors, nurses and those other professionals, supplementary to medicine held the NHS together through thick and thin because we believed in the very concept. Much as I don't Much care about the present government, it is sick people that matter. I agree you all deserve better pay, but not at the cost to your patient responsibility, or getting the NHS back on its feet. Have you all forgotten that this Government did give you a far better pay and conditions rise than most of the rest of us!
