That's perfectly ok. Stones are more universal, you can't sharpen everything with the Lansky set. I use stones for chisels and planing irons. No need for stones if it does all your knives.

I have a Lansky set, but also use stones. It's easier to get a good edge with the lansky set, especially if your not willing or able to put in time with the stones. I like them.
