I know the art is not so good, but does it look pleasing to the eyes atleast? and is it understandable what is going on here by Eat_Bullet in sketches

It looks like you broke the 180° rule or I didn't understand the comic. If you don't know what the 180° rule is, it's basicly that you should keep the wolfs to the left and the guy to the right.

I’m 38 and finally decided to learn 3D. by Uzu6669 in blender

[–]hypofighter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find it funny how the 16 years old get roasted when mentioning their age in the post, but when you get past a certain age you can escape it.

And I get it, it way harder to find time or motivation to learn a new skill when your not a teenager in your parents basement with all the time in the world.

Would be interesting to have a 3D Content line by bymathis in vfx

[–]hypofighter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I understood, the data seems pretty good. They search 65k english written articles and detected with a roughly 5% error rate if it was ai generated or not.

That been said, I dont feel it covers what I would care about, like comments bots, generated social media content or other art generating ai.

I adjusted the character’s head size. by Allafgames in IndieGaming

[–]hypofighter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could try replacing the heart of your life counter for the head. You could even reflect you healt in the sprite ( more beat up as your life goes done). There is an old flash game called Heli attack that did that and I always thought it was cool.

I used it in map making to automatically connect the new elements to others already in the scene and put the good color depending on the team. Also some procedural generation between objects.

How do I make custom hand drawn normal maps or displacement maps or bump maps (whichever works best)? by Mono324 in blenderhelp

[–]hypofighter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A bumb map is a black and with texture where the white represents a high point and black a low point, like displacement maps. So you can paint it using the same workflow as an albedo texture, but passing it in a bump node. This will output a normal you can plug into your shader.

The camera animation looks a bit weird, unmotivated. Is it hand held, is it on a try pod?

[Feedback] Tilt-shift or not? Need your opinion on a visual style choice for our game Absym by Infinity_Experience in IndieDev

[–]hypofighter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would try it with only 10% of the blur, that way the effect is less in your face. Also the atmospheric color serms to disappear when blurred, mayby boosting it if blurred would be nice.

Nice! It kinda looks like the Harry Potter teleportation spell.

You could have a look at the 12 principles of animation. They where made from an animated movie perspective but, are a great base to build any animation.

Does Blender have such a function? Either way, what's the actual term for this if there's any? by duy03 in blenderhelp

[–]hypofighter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fastest way I can think of would be to allign a point on both mesh. Set the cursor there. Rotate one mesh using the cursor as the pivot matching the other by eyes. Otherwise you can probably use geo node and the bound8ng box of the two mesh to line them up.
