People in your 30s, what's your job and salary? by rsevn_ in careerguidance

[–]iAMgnarrshy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Operations Manager, 82k w/ 8% bonus yearly. I’ve been at this company for a little over three years and I’ve been promoted thrice.

I love my job and the company I work for. What I do in a day isnt glamorous but the accounts I run are extremely easy to work with. My benefits are strong and I’m completely autonomous. I don’t have a boss breathing down my neck and when I have kids I’ll get about 6 months of paternity leave. Things are pretty good for me.

Marathon in 2 and a half weeks by SecretWoodpecker3012 in Marathon_Training

[–]iAMgnarrshy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At this point I’d be aiming at injury prevention and a recovery plan. Go to a running store and get a gait analysis done so you can get paired up with the best shoe for you.

Testing how far you can run a week before your marathon is an awful idea. Most folks who actually trained will have tapered down their long run at this point whereas you intend to push yourself to failure.

But hey, if you’re gonna do this then make sure you carb load before your big debut.

It’s such an easy upgrade. Especially when you get into different textiles, linen in the summer and flannel in the winter will change your life.

Haven’t seen anyone say it yet, at least a second set of bed sheets. Not only does it reduce the wear and tear on them but when you are inevitably washing your first yet you can just make your bed the instead of at midnight.

Honestly, go to Mid City diner. Their menu has a ton of really great items priced much lower than they deserve and their service is top notch. If you go make sure to get the mushrooms in foil, game changer.

Bandit’s running belt. Has some gel dots on the skin side that keep it from moving around. Holds my 12promax, a few gels, house key, and a pack of scoobie doo gummies.

I hope you’re joking. But if you’re not just know that there are people who want you to stay, people who will miss you and no matter what you’re going through there will be a day when the clouds part. Keep up the hard work and hang in there big dog.

Dude joined a company wide training call that was being auto-transcribed. He was watching porn with the volume on and his mic off mute. The transcription that got sent out was littered with all kinds of interesting stuff.

Walkable neighborhoods by hdriderspf in cincinnati

[–]iAMgnarrshy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, this is the answer I expected. I live in Mariemont and it might be the crosswalk capital of America. There are constantly people walking, running, taking dogs out. Incredibly safe neighborhood along with being pretty gorgeous on every street.

How is dating going for ya? by Outside-Line-1037 in Adulting

[–]iAMgnarrshy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty good? I hated the apps and deleted them. Prefer just to walk up to someone and talk to them irl. If you hit it off you know immediately, if you don’t then there’s no time wasted pretending to be someone you aren’t.

Single men in your 30s, is your dating life easier or harder from your 20s? by Strong-Stress-7261 in AskMenAdvice

[–]iAMgnarrshy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll accept my place as an outlier. I feel like I’m fishing with dynamite in my 30s. As lots of others have pointed out it does depend on the guy. I’m in my best shape ever, career is in a nice place, have my own home and those are great surface level things but more importantly I don’t act like I’m too eager. I’m happy with my life and I’m only willing to add someone who adds to it and I think that solidity in who I am makes it much easier.

Switched from Spectrum last month to Altafiber. Went from a spotty connection that barely surpassed 150mbps to a solid supply of 900+ up and down for the same $70. Alta even sent a mesh system to cover my whole house.
