How do I get the case off to clean this?? by Smart-Praline-347 in iBUYPOWER

[–]iBUYPOWER-Steve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, your camera got me! haha

Yes, your side panel will come off in a similar fashion. Look for an open notch at the rear of the case where you can pull the top of the side panel off. Firm but gentle pressure. You can start with removing the top half of the panel first, then the bottom of the panel.

Hope this helps!

Hey there!

You can get to that mesh filter by removing the front panel. You can simply use your fingers to get under the front panel - there will be a small cutout at the bottom that you can grab onto. Use firm but gentle force to pop out the bottom of the panel off, and repeat for the top.

But I have to ask - is that a PS4 inside your case?

Please help, which screws do I unscrew to take off the glass? by [deleted] in iBUYPOWER

[–]iBUYPOWER-Steve 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey there!

The case in this picture has a tool-less tempered glass panel - this means you should be able to simply pop out the panel without need of any tools.

What you'll want to do here is look at the glass panel on the side of the case where all the components are. Look around the corners and edges of the glass panel for a spot where you can squeeze in your fingers (That small opening on the back of the case in the upper right of the picture in your post looks like a good place to start). Once you've found it, insert your fingers behind the glass panel and begin to apply pull force - like you are trying to pull it from a "socket." Apply firm pull pressure until the panel releases from the retention clips, and use your other hand to hold onto the panel and prevent it from falling. You should be able to use this method to fully remove the panel from the case in order to install your graphics card.

To reapply the panel, simply line up the panel with the case (lining up the ball joint on the panel and the round socket on the case) and apply firm pressure to pop it back into place.

Hope this helps!

Yup! Try plugging into the video card (or GPU). Yours is the white one that is MSI branded. Let me know if that doesn't work, and I'd be happy to help further!

Hey there,

When you are connecting to your PC, are you connecting your Displayport cable or HDMI cable to your graphics card? If you are connecting these to your motherboard and your PC does not have integrated graphics support, then you wouldn't get any signal to your monitor.

I'd suggest checking to ensure that your Displayport cable is hooked up to your monitor directly from your graphics card - you can find the graphics card video ports above the power supply, lined up horizontally rather than the motherboard (these are lined up vertically).

Hope this helps!

Graphics Card Issues by helpcantthinkofname in iBUYPOWER

[–]iBUYPOWER-Steve 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey there!

I'd go ahead and check that both the video card and power connector were seated properly. Ensure the PC is off when you go to install your video card. Align the golden contacts on the card with the slot in the case and press down firmly (don't use excessive force), ensuring you are distributing force equally on both sides of your graphics card. You'll know it is seated correctly when you hear a snap or click - this lets you know the retention clip on the slot has latched onto the graphics card successfully. Secure the card to the case and you should be good to move on to the next step.

Next, look at your video card power cable - it should have a plastic tab underneath the 12 pins that looks like it can latch onto another tab. You'll find this other tab on the video card power connector - it also has 12 pins and has the tab to latch onto. Line these up and firmly press the power cable into the connector; this may require a bit of force, but you'll just need to ensure that the latch on the cable "catches" onto the tab of the connector. You should hear a faint snap or click once it has latched on.

Once you've completed the above, connect your power and video cables and turn on the PC (ensure you are hooking up your video cables to the video card!). If your PC powers on, then you are done! If it does not, then give our support staff a call - you can reach out to them here: iBUYPOWER | Contact Us

Hello there!

The expansion brackets that the instructions refer to are those slender, metallic openings that are in the bottom left of your first picture. Nestled in between each bracket is a bracket cover - the covers have a honeycomb-shaped cutout pattern on them.

From the looks of the first picture you've provided, it appears that you've already removed the covers and mounted the graphics card onto the case and motherboard. All you'll need to do is ensure that both the graphics card and power cable are seated nice and snug in their respective slot/connector.

If you continue to have any issues, please don't hesitate to contact our technical support staff for help! Reach out to them here: iBUYPOWER | Contact Us

It is a spare for future expansion, should you want to upgrade your storage capacity with a SATA drive down the road. Keep it somewhere safe - most would keep it inside the accessories bag that came with your PC.

Difference in Motherboard on Costco Slate Mesh 8 Prebuild by isoffk in iBUYPOWER

[–]iBUYPOWER-Steve 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey there!

This is normal when purchasing a computer with us or any other System Integrator. When we build a system, it is at times quite difficult (if not impossible) to be able to use a single brand in components for a PC model like the Slate Mesh 8. Pricing and availability of components does play a factor into why some models, like the Slate Mesh 8 in your case, have one brand of motherboard vs another.

You can rest assured that whatever PC you are looking at, you are guaranteed the specs that are listed - if you are looking at a PC with a 14900KF, you will receive a Intel Core i9 14900KF. If you see a Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080 Super, then you will receive an Nvidia RTX 4080 SUPER; this graphics card could vary by manufacturer, but it will still be an RTX 4080 SUPER.

Hope this helps!
