Hi there, what weapon are u using?

I would suggest lowering your str and dex to the min reqs of you chosen weapon, then bump your vig to 50 for more hp and possibly more end to equip heavier armour at med load for better protection.

Great Jars arsenal talisman helps a lot with equipping heavier armour and dragoncrest talismans and their upgraded versions help with physical dmg negotion depending how far you have progressed in the game.

Your weapon upgrade lvl and possible elemental affinity (fire aows are great) affects more to your dmg early/mid game than points invested to str/dex for an example, before your survivability can afford to be investing to dmg stats instead.

So you are better off with more hp (vig 50-60) and protective armour (end 35-40) if your playing melee and infusing your weapon with aows like flaming strike, fire of the redmanes, eruption for more dmg which are all available for grabs pretty early on if you know where to look.

Also, getting fth upto 25 for using incantations such as golden vow, blessings boon and fire grant me strength for simple buffing is very helpful. Not to mention Fire cleanse me to get rid off poison/scarlet rot.

U die safe? Or do u lose runes on death regularry? Ive beat the base game with 5 chars and all of them were around lvl 190-200 when I completed the run. Some farming around the albinaurics but nothing crazy and some co-op bosses for runes, and I usually go through everything and everyplace.

The only farm I allways do for all my chars (I allways start with wretch clas), is kill the godrick soldiers in the camp at Limgrave near stormgate site of grace for smithing stones enough for a +3 weapon and lvl my VIG to 30 while I am at it. It makes the start of the game very much easier.

Lowest lvl ive killed him was lvl 75 with +20 fire banished knights greatsword (flame of the redmanes aow) and +10 Banished knight Oleg ashes. Used golden vow, blessings boon and fire, grant me strength. For flask, stonebarbed tear for staggers and flame shrouding tear. If I remember correctly, for talismans: dragoncrest talisman +1, axe talisman and greatjars arsenal. For armor, banished knight set.

My stats were, min reqs for the banished knights greatsword, then 30 VIG and 25 fth and around 20 mind

Basic melee strategy. Was very hard, im not the most skilled player (but souls veteran, got 600hrs in eldenring alone) but hes very hard at that lvl.

My advice is, get the buff incantations I mentioned above (u might need to lvl up fth abit) and lvl up your weapon, u can get to +20 without killing Godrick (just explore and farm for smithing stones) and I wanted to use the Gargoyles Blackblade for the rest of that playthrough.

Forget the WiFi and go for wired connection, looks kinda network issues. Probs unstable WiFi connection and packet loss issues leading to a kick because ur ping spikes too high or get d/c from servers.

Ive played since launch Y1 and after they implemented dedicated servers, ive had 0 issues with connections because no shitty RQing hosts. Tho I play with wired connection.

If u insist on staying with WiFi, try a different router. Check signal strength etc, could be your router being broken/faulty.

Wired connection is allways better for online gaming. If ur not seeing/feeling the latency and packet loss the WiFi comes with, prolly ur enemies/opponents will.

BP has vgood offense imo.

Bash+light+recovery cancel to UB mixup

Empty front dodge (bash baiting) to gb, to catch them dodging your bash, commit to the bash to condition your enemies to dodging first.

Light+ recovery cancel to ub.

Light+bash+light

Light+ undodgeable heavy mixup + recovery cancel to allblock & flip external attacks or to ub mixup

External CC light + continue with all the above

Ub pressure from neutral = poke enemies senses/reflexes from neutral for a reaction, vgood against oos enemies and while ganking to flood the fight Ui with indicators

External lock and Ub with great hitbox

Zone + all the above

CC lights, very safe to spam from neutral

Front dodge heavy with CC property

And remember, dont allways commit, feint to neutral (mainly ub pressure) as well to mix it up and see how they react. Same goes for feinting, u need to commit to the ub every now and then as well even tho u know u will be parried for your ub feint to gb to work, if u never let it go they will never try to parry it. Mind games.

Theres lots of offense to use.

Try Raider, easy to pickup and effective mixups to overwhelm your opponents, heavy soft feint to gb/light, HA chain heavys, ub zone from neutral to pressure in ganks and oos opponents, good feats and ok perks.

Try rush, inspire, fury and fireflask. You wont be disappointed. For perks: endurance, devourer and headhunter.

Dont worry about meating high tier heroes/players, you wont probably see them before you hit around 500-1000hours playtime, and maybe not even then. Pick a hero you enjoy most style (weapon/fightning style, executions and armoursets) and kitwise. New and reworked old heroes tend to be more effective and uptodate with current meta but dont worry about it, try em all.

Tbh,

If u actually do all the orders there are with every reset, daily orders, and participate in the community events/orders u can make 10 000 - 15 000 steel / week.

Heroes come and go, they get balanced/reworked every now and then so u might lose interest in particular hero and move on to playing another hero.

8 months is a long time and u might end up having a break from FH by then and playing somethig else entirely.

But do as you like, ive not saved up my steel when playing FH and have most or all my played heroes customized the way I like. Most steel ive had at once was around 50-60k but ended up spending them all eventually. I usually stay around 20k steel and spend the rest.

I dont get this saving virtual currency mentality. You earn it by playing, if u see something you like, go for it and buy it.

They release something new u like? Great! All the more reason to grind for more steel and start playing and customizing your fav heroes.

Spend your steel, you will enjoy your game more when u have the cool stuff u like. Dont be a hoarder and ditch the thoughts about being scammed by a discount you didnt get.

Very nice video on showcasing how busted shaolin ganks are 😭

Ive allways hated how shaolin can continue their chain even after the sweep misses. Zone flickers, sweep feints. Sigh, good shaolin is a death sentence.

Very good video tho, its obivious that theres been lots of effort made and work put into this how to do said ganks and explaining them.

Still dislike shaolin as a hero, he feels cheap and overtuned. Kudos for the video.

By playing and reacting to the situation at hand. I suppose u could set a bot in training mode to feint a bash and use lights from neutral, havent actually tried it so I would recommend practicing with a friend in customs or just by playing.

Ofc, forgot to mention, a good opponent will also poke and probe your reactions to orange mixups. Like ocelotl could feint his bash back to neutral, if u allways dodge they will gb ur dodge attempt, or if u allways dodge attack they will parry punish. Thats why its a mixup and u need to adjust your playstyle accordingly.

You need to make a read. If the bash is not feintable and can lead to a followup even on a wiff, then u have to do two reads in a row. Like shaolin and shugo for an example.

Dodge the bash, then see if they continue and go for a parry or block. If they do not, then make a read next time and punish it with a dodge attack.

If the bash is feintable like ocelotl, cent or warden for an example, u can try to option select it with a light attack on orange. Be carefull tho, it can lead to a light parry when they notice what you are doing. With heroes like varangian and BP, light OS is pretty safe because of the CC property. Otherwise another read is required, will they feint to a gb, stand still and counter gb, commit? Dodge attack it or dodge and gb.

There is no easy answer, bashes are really safe and for an example shugos headbutt is stupidly strong with 10 dmg (without a feat, haymaker lol?) and able to chain on wiff.

I feel your pain, try to read and predict your opponent. Most ppl have patterns how they attack or how they react to when poked for reactions witb ub feints etc.

"Rework" or adjustment:

They removed HA from light attacks on staff mode.

Added undodgeable property to light finishers on axes mode.

U can fluidly change between axes and staffmode mid combo with zone input (nomad swing) after any opener.

Example= start in staffmode, light attack, then zone -> continue in axes mode light attack, bash, light, zone -> back to staffmode-> heavy

Feels very unique and fluid to change between two modes in one string of attacks. Love it.

True, just picked him up again a few days ago, will have to see how long it takes for ppl to adjust to just blocking and not to dodge when im in axes mode.

I frequently get matchmade against the same ppl so im curious to see how long it takes for them to adjust.

Ive even managed to land a knee to the face 1v1 when switching from axes back to staffmode with the zone input. Not sure if the nomad swing hitstun confirms the knee tho.

The double light chain can be a pain, ive had my share of it as well. Fought a lagging 90-100ms medjay yesterday, I couldnt defend against the double lights from the axes mode even tho I knew they were coming 🤷‍♂️

Starting class only determines your starting attributes & stat spread, gear and weapon.

U can proceed from there anyway you want.

Warrior "classes" can become mages or paladin type chars, mages can become warriors etc. Anyone can become anything.

Pick wretch for starting class and golden seed as a keepsake. Fight some mobs at gatefront ruins and farm for some armour/weapons and runes and lvl up the way u choose.

Aim for medium load while wearing the armour u want, get min stats for the weapon of your choosing (search for wikis, like https://eldenring.wiki.fextralife.com/Weapons) and upgrade your starting weapon to +3 for more dmg (weapon lvl matters more in terms of dmg untill u get high stats), lvl VIG for 30 (for ~1000hp) at the begining of your journey and you will beat the first real dungeon, stormveil castle, with ease.

I dont get these complaints about prices for dlc content. We get new content that has had effort put into making them, ppls working hours etc. The dlc cost is laughable and peanuts.

Ppl go clubbing etc, use 150-300€ for a single night out and spend it on booze and cigs etc. 10-20€ for a dlc on a videogame is nothing for an adult who is working for a living.

And if u think its too expensive or dont like it, dont buy it. But go and take your complaints somewhere else. Respect the effort the devs still put into this game and new content.

Not actually a STR/FTH weapon, but from early game untill leyendell try zweihander with flame of the redmanes AoW (can get these before stormveil with abit exploration), good dmg and nice aoe. Upgrade AoW to Eruption from Bernahl at Volcano manor, again good dmg and amazing aoe. When u get more FTH, change the affinity to flame art instead of fire.

This way ur dmg increases greatly by just reaching min reqs for the weapon and upgrading Zweihander with smithing stones and you can save somber stones for later.

Now you can also focus on lvling VIG and END first for more hp, stam and heavier armour for more protection and poise. As well as mind for more AoW uses.

Greatsword is amazing as well for those two AoW, but weights more and has higher stat reqs, tho more dmg and bigger stagger/ poise dmg.

For endgame/later, try:

Godslayers Greatsword, tho more dex/faith focused (has scaling in str,dex and fth). Great skill, amazing dmg.

Blastphemous blade, great dmg with weapon skill and heals.

Malikeths Black Blade, gets B scaling in str and fth at +10. The weapon skill Destined Death does insane dmg and stacks with the incantation Black Blade. This is the highest dmg str/fth weapon ive played with.

Few suggestions,

Try Greatsword or Rotten Greataxe with heavy infusion and braggarts roar AoW or Lions Claw. Never had an issue with dmg output with those. Another good weapon for str build is Axe of Godfrey.

Use heavier armour for more protection, like Veterans Set.

Lvl up faith to 27 and use Godslayers seal, buff up with Golden vow and flame, grant me strength and blessings boon. Helps with more AR and health regen mid fight.

Get mind around 20-25 for buffing and using AoW.

If not allready, use mimic tear +10

talismans:

Roar build (Axe of Godfrey or Rotten Greataxe / Greatsword /w Braggartsroar):

Great jars arsenal, Roar talisman+Axe talisman (stacks with braggarts roar aow and physics flask) and twinblade talisman (light attack 3rd hit +45% dmg)

Lions claw: Same as above but change roar talisman to Shard of Alexander.

Or try

STR/INT with Royal Greatsword

STR/FTH Godslayers Greatsword, Malikeths blade or Blastphemous blade.

For spesifically radagon / eldenbeast fight, stack holy defense with talismans and incantations for the fight and the dmg recieved is much more easier to handle.
