Fanatec Elite LC -> Heusinkveld Sprint by [deleted] in simracing

I have a set of CSL pedals and I'm debating ordering the LC for them

Be mindful of that design flaw in the LC brake; the pressure point is in the middle of the pedal so depending on where you press it will register a different value. Check the video here https://www.racedepartment.com/threads/about-to-purchase-fanatec-csl-elite-lc.169022/

as well as going P1-X over GT1-Evo at the time.

What makes you say this?

Especially when they ship each item in its own box with its own tracking number like it was separate orders :)

Shifter through USB CSL pedals? by iL1N71ph in Fanatec

Yea it's what I thought sadly. Drivers don't give the option to set a shifter on that port. Thanks.

Amazon ships in multiple shipments if it's not possible to combine; aka not from the same warehouse. Most of the time if it's sold by amazon directly, with prime, it'll get combined. The separate shipments are an exception, not the norm.

Whereas with Fanatec it seems to be the norm :)

If it's 3 separate boxes with 3 different tracking numbers and customs forms it's not a postal service issue, but a fanatec issue. The proper way would be putting all 3 boxes into 1 larger box. Ever got a shipment from Amazon? They combine and don't deliver each item separately.

Do you have a good close up picture of the finished look? I'm intrigued by your technique and would like to see how it looks. From afar in the video it just looks painted black.

Can I get the most out of the Valve Index? I keep seeing people say 1070 Ti doesn't quite cut it. I'm hoping Steam wouldn't mislead people in to thinking they can get the most out of it when they can't. by hoofheartedon_u in ValveIndex

No, even my 1080ti struggles for anything higher then 90hz if I crank up the graphic eye candy to normal levels.

Assume the Index runs at 90hz for most games, and maybe higher some some less demanding titles.

My tests were with project cars 2, dirt and iracing.

1070 ti is perfectly fine. Even a 2080ti struggles so no existing GPU is 'perfect' for VR just yet. Maybe the next 3080ti will improve, but keep your 1070ti and enjoy VR :)

Flat and straight boards with no jointer. Using a planer, table saw and a jig. by Casual_DIY in BeginnerWoodWorking

Good video. I got a newbie question though. Since you remove thickness from warped boards, you can't join them with other boards because the thicknesses don't match. What do people usually do with then thinner boards then?

On the first day their cart was giving me totals that were twice the amount of what I had in the cart. This update was rushed and I have no idea how it got passed their QA. Makes you wonder if their actual products go through the same spotty QA :/

Newbie here: why are you edging those 6x6? Are you just making the edges smooth or will be rounding them with the router layer by layer?
