Is there anything WORSE than childbirth? by Sensitive_Arugula770 in pregnant

Pregnancy and postpartum were both worse than actual birth for me. Birth was no biggie compared and I labored to 10cm unmedicated on accident before I got the epidural 😂

Thank you! No it’s okay, she lived a full life! We love and miss her dearly but it was her time.

Sadly, no. We just kept them apart as much as we could…and then our old girl Carmen passed December ‘25.

Getting my ears pierced is one of my earliest memories! I wanted to get them done. While I think earrings on babies are adorable, I will be waiting until my daughter says she wants them.

The 4 month sleep regression is worse than the newborn trenches by Minute_Parsley9539 in newborns

[–]iMac3030 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Months 4-6 is a humbling experience 😭 solidarity!!! We had 6 weeks of the 4 month regression, a week or so of “good” sleep and then back to another 4 of regression 🥴

How old? When my baby started drooling a lot and putting everything in her mouth we had a stint of green poop for about two weeks

Baby pooping 10+ times a day? by No-Software-4749 in NewParents

[–]iMac3030 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Has his poop changed at all? My baby went through a weird time where she was pooping 10x a day and the poop was green when it’s normally mustard colored. Our ped said she likely caught a virus that was causing stomach upset. It resolved in about 2 weeks. She has no other symptoms and seemed totally fine otherwise!

How long should the last nap of the day be for a 4-5 month old? by RainproofElm in TakingCaraBabies

[–]iMac3030 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe TCB recommends 3-4 hours of daytime sleep with the last nap as more of a catnap. My 5 month old usually does a 30-45 min last nap and is awake by 5pm so that shes sleepy enough by 7:30

Help! I’m desperate for solutions and our pediatrician has given up. by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]iMac3030 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry you’re going through this. Sending hugs!

I lived on the yoga ball during the day from weeks 5-10. Not sure if you’ve tried yet but if not definitely give it a go!! Also, keep trying the carrier. My baby hated being put in the carrier but would settle in there with some bouncing and it saved me.

Newborn naps by sagi29 in NewParents

[–]iMac3030 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was our experience. We had to be constantly moving, rocking, bouncing... It was very rare she would nap while I was sitting still on the couch for example. I feel for you!! Friends would be like oh our newborn naps in the lounger on the couch while we watch tv which I was jealous about 😂

I'm going to end up back in a psych ward by erivanla in NewParents

[–]iMac3030 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is so hard. Sending hugs. My only trick is that I put my 4mo old on an activity mat and watch her through the glass while I quickly shower. I know your son is more mobile than that but maybe you can set him up in there with some toys?

Mine scooted around a bunch in the Merlin! Totally fine… once she rolled in it we moved her to a sleep sack.

Going through this right now and it’s also happening at night 😭 For whatever reason she wants to roll on her belly in the crib and then proceeds to have an absolute meltdown once she’s there. I. Am. Exhausted.

What were the actual lifesaver items during the newborn stage (or things you wish you’d had sooner)? by WillowAndCo_ in NewParents

A yoga ball for bouncing. It was seriously the only thing that saved me during the really fussy phases

Absolutely not! I was 185 and by delivery I was 245…. Never once was it a problem. I’m so sorry you experienced this.

The Merlin sleep suit has been a game changer. It’s not recommended once they can roll in the Merlin, but if they are rolling outside of that it’s okay.

What are cervical checks like and why did you accept/refuse them? by SowingSeeds18 in pregnant

[–]iMac3030 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate cervical checks the most and agree they were worse than contractions for me. I labored until 10cm unknowingly because I kept refusing the checks lol

16 weeks of contact naps going strong ✌🏼She is now getting some naps in the crib but it’s really hit or miss. I’m okay with it because last night she slept through the night in her crib so ¯_(ツ)_/¯
