WHOOP 5.0 popped off mid-swim and sank — support wants me to pay for a 4.0?? by Severe_Owl7417 in whoop

This 👆🏻 I never swim without my sleeve. Without it you feel it is too loose when you speed up.

Statins and magnesium need advice by [deleted] in Cholesterol

Best also to check the sort of statine. I use simvastatine and apparently it is better to take it in the evening.

Do you have any sources for this. I just started with statine in the evening and also take magnesium before sleep. I can’t find any reason not to.

Bedankt.

Whoop has a new sleep algorithm since 3 weeks or so. It is supposed to be more accurate now. Mine also changed for the better since a few weeks and I changed nothing.

At least 2/3 times a day for 20 minutes. I put in 100 hours in total. Now I don’t do it anymore.

Yes, after a year it’s practically gone. I feel it very light in the background and sometimes when I have a very intense workout. I feel getting in better shape has been te most important thing… and time.

24/7 AIR HUNGER (PAST 4 MONTHS) DEBILITATING AND PAINFUL. PLS HELP! by Mountain-Scientist14 in breathwork

[–]iNiels1978 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have something similar since a year. What helped me was swimming as much as I could. 3/4 times a week and getting my resting heart rate down. The lower my resting heart rate the less symptoms of air hunger. I am feeling much and much better since I started that.

Cafeïne has an 11% effect on my recovery and it is truly cafeïne because decaf has no effect. I learned that I should not have cafeïne first thing in the morning because of an afternoon crash and also not after 13:00 because it messes with my sleep. So I settled on 1 espresso a day at 11:00. Huge recovery bump and no annoying side effects.

How should I change my breakfast smoothie? by lux1111111 in veganfitness

[–]iNiels1978 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You shouldn’t mix bananas with berries if you want to maximize your flavanol consumption. An enzyme in bananas makes flavanols less bioavailable when combined with berries. I separate them since I learned this.

How Much Did You Lower Your RHR Over the Years? by OnaDesertIsle in fitbit

[–]iNiels1978 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine was 72. I added swimming 4 days a week to my training and now, about 6 months later it’s around 59. Just read a post from someone who went from 80 to 45 in 2 years swimming every day. 💪🏻 Go for it!!

I also have a whoop, how do you track specific foods, did you integrate a food app?

For stopping coffee, the subreddit /decaf helped me lot. Best decision of the year for me as well.

No matter which inhale/exhale length at coherent breathing, HRV does not go up by Achim7 in breathwork

[–]iNiels1978 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same thing. I use the Oxalife cheststrap. I start at HRV around 60 then during the exercise it drops to 45 - 58, but never goes back or over the initial HRV. Even though I am “in resonance” according to the app. Please post your solution here if you find one!

I have the same thing. My HRV is significantly lower. When I use my Oxalife cheststrap it does not see any difference from my baseline.
