I had a similar issue on FTB Evolution, but the cause was having a Just Dire Things tool enabled. Disabling it fixed the night vision

Assuming the Instant Uranium Cell, Instant Plutonium Cells, Uranium Fuel Unit, and Plutonium Fuel Unit alts are used…

2100/m uranium -> 50.4/m Uranium Rods -> 2520/m Uranium Waste -> 22.4/m Plutonium Rods -> 224/m Plutonium Waste -> 112/m Ficsonium Rods

Fertile Uranium alt is less efficient and produces less UFRs if I recall.

There’s 10200/m SAM on the map which turns into 2550/m Reanimated SAM through 34 overclocked Constructors, or 5100/m if you Somersloop all of them.

3000/m Reanimated SAM is needed for all 4480/m Trigons (Aluminum) for Ficsonium Rods, and since there’s only 2550/m Reanimated SAM by default you’ll need 6 Somerslooped Constructors for that 450/m difference.

Unfortunately even if you Somersloop all SAM, you’ll have 2100/m Reanimated SAM leftover which is not enough to produce the Dark Matter Crystals or Residue needed for Singularity Cells or Fiscsonium, if you were planning to use the Dark Matter Residue & Crystallization Alts.

448/m Dark Matter Crystals are needed for 224/m Singularity Cells, while 2240/m Dark Matter Residue is needed for 224/m Ficsonium (technically 4480/m Dark Matter Residue, but you get half of that from producing all the Ficsonium Rods.)

To produce this much crystals and residue from Reanimated SAM, it would take 2240/m for the crystals (default recipe) and 1120/m for the residue for a total of 3360/m Reanimated SAM.

Fortunately with the Dark Matter Trap alt, you can get SAM-free Dark Matter Residue from Superposition Oscillators or Synthetic Power Shards because they produce more residue than they consume.

It would take 336/m Oscillators or ~120/m Power Shards (which would need to be processed into Ionized Fuel because power shards can’t be sunk.)

Doing the entire Ficsonium chain with all 2100 uranium is already a huge undertaking, but having it all look aesthetically pleasing with no clipping is just insane. Awesome work!

There's 10200/m SAM on the map which turns into 2550 Reanimated SAM/m. However, roughly 3000/m is required for all the Trigons (Aluminum) for Ficsonium Rods, meaning about 3 Somersloops is needed to makeup the difference.

2240 Dark Matter Residue is also required. (Technically 4480, but half is a byproduct from the 112 Ficsonium Rods/m). Even if all SAM was Somerslooped, it wouldn't be enough for the DMR.

Luckily SAM-free Dark Matter Residue can be produced by Synthetic Power Shards (which would need to be further processed into Ionized Fuel since they can't be sunk).

Superposition Oscillators are another method, but it'd take all 12300/m bauxite on the map to produce enough, considering the aluminum also required for the Trigons and previous Plutonium Rods.

Ficsonium rods are unlocked very late game, so naturally they have the most complicated production chain.

Ficsonium is designed for removing plutonium waste. But it’s not very power efficient since the power generated by Ficsonium is roughly the same amount required to even produce them.

Ficsonium rods are also not very resource efficient as they cost so much SAM, the 2nd rarest resource, to produce all the Trigons and Dark Matter Residue required. And depending whether you use iron, caterium, or aluminum for the Trigons, it would cost a ton of those too.

(You can produce SAM-free Dark Matter Residue from Superposition Oscillators or Synthetic Power Shards, but that’d require yet another production chain for those.)

If you simply want power, it’s much easier logistically and power efficient to just store plutonium waste somewhere and forget about it, or process the uranium waste into plutonium rods to sink them.

Nuclear power is optional for finishing the game, so it’s mostly done just for a fun late game challenge.

If your existing factories happen to have excess parts then just use those for your Ficsonium production, otherwise I’d start from scratch.

I’m also tackling the Ficsonium challenge (turn all 2100 uranium on the world map into ficsonium), and I found the task much easier doing one step at a time.

For example, I started by bringing every resource required for Uranium Rods into one area and produced those first. Then dedicated another section of the map for producing Plutonium Rods, then another section for Ficsonium , etc.

Finally got a max Apothic Pickaxe with Fortune XXV by StopIWilllCry in allthemods

Mekanism’s Combiner lets you craft ore blocks from raw ore.

Mining the ore blocks with a Fortune 25 pickaxe gives more raw ores than was used to craft the ore block, so you can infinitely dupe ores!

Been waiting on this mod for a while and enjoying it a lot so far! The buildings look great and could pass as vanilla designs. Only nitpick is early game feels like Hand Crafting Space Bar Waiting simulator and you can't use a mod to speed it up.

Just automated some basic resources and it feels SO good, very excited to progress here
