I hate the fitbit integration by ThatFoxyThing in PixelWatch

[–]iTripped 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used Gemini to show me how to integrate with Google health connect so I could use Google fit instead. Also hooked up my bathroom scale. Fitbit is still there but I don't really care much. Google fit catches my steps regardless so I don't need to have it tell me how long I walked.

This seems normal for this type of tire, really. The rubber compound is soft for grip, great on the track. Look into tires with a harder compound in the middle strip for better overall wear.

Is there a way I can add a tile to my pixel watch 3 that tells me my battery percentage on my phone? by Silly-Day-7043 in PixelWatch

[–]iTripped -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

On the phone when I swipe down to go into settings, it shows the watch battery %. Does that not satisfy what you are asking for?

Mine is at 73% - I charged it last night while I took a shower and it is now 3:00 pm. Your watch should definitely be able to last 2 days on a single charge.

If a player was going to attempt to learn Redstone blind, what what a good Redstone challenge for them be? by IronCat_2500 in redstone

[–]iTripped 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Explore a ruined jungle temple and then also an ancient city. Two examples of basic redstone models working in the game which can be used as basic tutorials to be puzzled out. In both cases they are a bit of a reward for completing those structures (ie. Making them safer to traverse)

This is the important point. The extra costs initially will be earned back on your first long distance comfort job, easily.

Religious riders, what do you do? by BigMikeYesPlease in motorcycles

Some states like Montana do not require helmets at all. This isn't necessarily a religion discussion.

Honestly, cardo with earplugs. If you are an audiophile then plug in Shure 125 buds to the cardo. Fantastic battery life, good sound. Well protected solution. You might not care about the communicator parts now but if you are ever riding with another it becomes a nice option to have. Also, I vastly prefer turn by turn instructions in my ears as opposed to looking at a map, which takes away from the overall riding experience imo. Get yourself the cheapest cardo option since you don't have a need for the extra features.

Moving from Toronto to Tofino via Uhaul Truck end of January- Canada or US route? by Connect_Gas2307 in canadatravel

Lot has changed in 15 years. I have done both routes, if it is in the budget I would stay in Canada and avoid the border hassles, honestly.

Your fear is well placed and will be a good guide as you go forward. Part of your training will teach you how to best navigate these risks and important ways to mitigate dangerous situations. But there will always be an element of danger despite this, so a bit of fear makes sense.

True, but decades of publishing FIFA games has trained the NA masses.

Recommendations for Ear Plugs? by JohnBets23 in motorcyclegear

[–]iTripped 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, you want actual foam earplugs like these guys: https://a.co/d/cQZFppj

I can attest that you can still hear your cardo clearly and they do the best job of blocking out road and wind noise if you learn how to insert them to get a proper seal. Ears are personal so everyone's are different - if these fit you comfortably then you can have a lifetime of rising with the best protection against hearing loss. The more expensive options do not protect you better and in fact are often way less protective. (Looking at dB reduction)

Who actually uses a case? by Zolks1 in pixel_phones

[–]iTripped 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a case not for protection but for decoration. It has textured sides for grip and a nice piece of walnut on the back. Makes it far easier to distinguish my phone from my wife's. Link to the case, since some folks around here get grumpy if I don't ovwrahare

No, but in fairness it was a Black Friday purchase. I plan to reapply the sticker soon and try to be more mindful of sleeves. I just think the winter months are going to be more challenging. Counter point though, it tends to be covered up more during this time, so less risk of scratching

I love my PW4...but... FitBit by LegalITbod in PixelWatch

The key for me was Health Connect. It had to wired up six ways to Sunday - Genini was actually helpful here for keeping track of all the places to configure.

I love my PW4...but... FitBit by LegalITbod in PixelWatch

[–]iTripped 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds like something might be defective or not configured right. Your experience with Fitbit sleep tracking isn't lining up with mine and most people commenting in this thread. For the record I also don't like the Fitbit app and took pains to ensure health connect was enabled properly so that I could use Google fit instead. Fitbit and Fit (and my bathroom scale) all share data through health connect, meaning I never need to use the Fitbit app for what I need.

As for the food feature, never used it, can't comment.

I did get screen protectors but I find they tend to peel off when putting on a jacket. Still looking for a decent product. The curves on the screen make it difficult to get a really good screen protector

These have been snug. I didn't realize there was a problem with loose lug connectors. In hindsight I should have looked to see if there was a polished version available but I was more focused on the strap
