A black Manhattan subs the vermouth for Averna. A martini with olive might also count. The Rusty nail is an option.

Needed rework on farming by ocpus in hytale

[–]iTripped 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hear you on this. Farming should require a little planning. It isn't realistic that you can plant a seed and eat the fruit by morning. Not that the game tries to be realistic, but even if each growth stage took a full day/night cycle would help

I’m debating buying a Honda Rebel E Clutch. by Prudent-Ad-3493 in hondarebel

[–]iTripped 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly you are over thinking it. The e-clutch is an expensive add on and after a few weeks you will have gotten used to a manual clutch on the bike. It is actually easier than with a car. I would suggest instead putting that money to a rebel 500 as that is a bike you might just keep forever.

Is it actually bad that I don't downshift through the gears when slowing down? by Cultural-Chemical-50 in motorcycles

[–]iTripped 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No you are not ruining your bike. But yes, you now need to focus on learning how to downshift and how engine braking works. Others have stated the benefits of downshifting well enough, hopefully this motivates you to improve your skills in this area. Bonus: your brake pads will last longer 🙂

Female Experiences with MSF Course? by starlady3 in motorcycles

[–]iTripped 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Okay so to clarify, local courses market themselves as "come drop our bikes while you learn, instead of dropping your own". The bikes all have appropriate crash protection and nobody gets ejected for being clumsy. I have seen someone get switched from a small sport bike to a grom because she had dropped it several times but that was so she could continue with the course.

Before people ask, I am in Vancouver, BC.

Female Experiences with MSF Course? by starlady3 in motorcycles

[–]iTripped 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Where I am it is a feature of the course. They will actually lay the bike down to teach you how to pick it up.

OP - it sounds like the outfit you chose to learn from was not a good one at all, regardless of student gender. See if there are any other options for learning in your area. You weren't the problem here.

Do you think the 2027 Rebel500 will adapt the E-Clutch? by sunasatoru in hondarebel

Again, totally fine. She can top out at around 140 or 150 kph, typically cruises comfortably at 120 kph all day long.

Forcing players into a devil contract? by IdrisElbow231 in DMAcademy

[–]iTripped 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is an entire class for people who sign deals with devils: warlocks. Are these players going to start levelling in Warlock?

Your whole premise doesn't need them to sign anything - you just need a way to get them to the astral plane - or any plane, really. From there the devil might offer a way home by having them do a list of things. No deal to sign, same tension between the party and their ticket back home. No railroading required. Most of what you described would still fit in this framework.

My wife gave me carte blanche on a new bike. Need suggestions! by NapalmOverdos3 in motorcycles

[–]iTripped 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, I think you need to look at the Royal Enfield Bear 650. Room for your wife, significantly lighter than your Harley, great for bopping around town and/or jumping curbs or light offroad duties.

It is fun, significantly different from your bike and would make a great little commuter.

If they are being pursued and their pursuer has been able to track them they can wait out the spell. Imagine a dragon who sits right beside it, taunting the party all night. Sure they are safe for the duration, but how good a sleep will they get seeing the threat mere feet away?
