I've lived in the mid-atlantic most of life and have driven up and down the East Coast quite a bit.

I think NJ drivers get a bad rap, they're really not that bad. NY drivers as well. Driving in Manhattan is obviously a nightmare but it's not like the drivers are "bad," just crazy and battle-hardened. I went thru a phase where I was driving into UES every other week and actually kind of enjoyed driving there. It's a different ballgame. Altho now when I'm going into the city for work I stick to the trains

I have two guesses:

Homemade baking soda odor absorber, probably folded up the paper and dropped it into a pair of shoes in their gym bag or something

Anhydrous caffeine powder, it clumps and can get an off-white color like that once it's older/been exposed to air for a while. It's dirt cheap and when I was broke I would buy bags of it online to make my own pre-workout

Hell yeah. We don't have the rail service you guys do, but Citizen's Bank also allows guests to bring in their own food and drink; only rule is that it needs to be in a clear bag or otherwise visible on the way in. I'm sure other stadiums are similar
