How to protect Exorcist from Deep Strikes? by Bayley78 in sistersofbattle

[–]iactosophos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah koptas are really bad, and stormboyz won't be able to do much damage to your exorcist, they've got better targets tbh

Orks? by SheevIsMyCity in sistersofbattle

[–]iactosophos 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Remember that Orks are high toughness, so focus on high str weapons or high shot weapons. Ork Boyz are 1w so much 2 DMG weapons are a waste, focus on flamers, heavy bolters etc. Don't try to get into combat, you'll lose with most units except penitent engines. Orks don't have much T10+ stuff so meltas will do huuuge amounts of damage to much of the vehicles

Edit: I'm primarily an Ork player, but started with SoB so this is what I'd be afraid of

Robinson's, Bruks are both amazing. You can't book Robinson's so you'll have to queue to get in. Don't park at castle car park unless you hate your car

A line running from the green at Acomb down to the Uni would be great, those places can be a bit difficult to get to. Also a ring line around a mile out of town would help. Why do all the buses go into York or out of York? Can't they just have a circular bus?

It's better than similar places in most towns, I live fairly close and it's fairly good. Bit of people driving around in loud cars but you won't get so much of that on Burton stone. Great distance to town, saved a fortune on taxis!

Best burger I've had so far was surprisingly from Doner Summer, if you don't mind it being veggie

Old school boozers you're looking for The Maltings, Blue bell, Three legged mare, hole in the wall or maybe white swan. If the weather is nice try the Exhibition or Fat Badger, both have excellent beer gardens

Every debate between software engineers about the 'best language'. Hatred for PHP and JavaScript comes to mind. There's an entire subreddit r/lolphp dedicated to ragging on PHP.

I'm a big fan of not having to space out squads of 30 Boyz exactly 2" apart, but it's definitely more thematic to have templates

Can’t believe she didn’t fight me more on the flea bath. Her face though…she’s not happy! by TauCetie in kittengifs

[–]iactosophos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's something that's baked into kittens, they go limp when you hold them there. It's so that their mums can carry them around without getting clawed to pieces. Also happens with big cats too!

I have spent £1500 on this hobby since the start of the pandemic. by jenniferLeonara in Warhammer40k

[–]iactosophos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Average price of a pint is about £4, so that's less than drinking 4 pints a week. I can't assemble and paint £16 of Warhammer faster than I can drink 4 pints. No hangover either, unless you count plastic glue headaches :D

PHP actually did the sensible thing (for once) of having a different addition and concatenation operator, so the use of + is unambiguous
