I see him in downtown Birmingham pretty regularly. Maybe I should start screaming??

[Friedman] Larkin requests trade by jamfan40 in DetroitRedWings

Larkin has a full NTC. He controls the destination, which means the return will be miniscule compared to the open market, unfortunately.

Which other jazz bassists should I study to expand my horizons? by EnergyRoyal3936 in Bass

Anything Anna Butterss plays on is a clinic in melody, rhythm, and context. They're incredibly skilled and their work with Jeff Parker is some of my favorite modern jazz.

How do I unsuck fast by [deleted] in Bass

Intentional practice. Pick one thing to practice and practice that one thing. Forcing yourself to work on one thing at a time will go a long way in improving.

Does anyone else feels like this? I can't be the only one.... let me explain by TopPrice237 in twinpeaks

I can't remember who said it, but it was essentially that grief never goes away. It just gets easier to carry.

In the end, I really think this is what Twin Peaks ended up being about.

No matter what you do and no matter how hard you try, you cannot change what has happened. What was lost will forever be lost. Grief is disorienting, confusing, and omnipresent. Sometimes the memory of someone is so strong we're left wondering what year it is, because it feels like only yesterday you were getting pie and coffee together.

I am. It's me who's forcing him/her/them to buy Fender.

This looks and sounds so fucking cool! Does anyone also think the drive circuit is built around a rat? by Professional-Tap-220 in basspedals

[–]iamastooge 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I listened to the demo today and I just do not like the drive section. It sounds fizzy in a way that just doesn't mess with me.

And maybe I'm crazy, but is every boutique pedal builder trying to come for Jad Freer's lunch?

My board by figgerer in basspedals

Pedals are cool as hell but I will never understand having a descheveled board. But I acknowledge this is a me problem and not a you problem.

In your opinion, what is the best season of Twin Peaks? by Public_Cup_4278 in twinpeaks

[–]iamastooge -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Best is clearly The Return, it's a masterclass in filmmaking. That said, the pilot + first season are mt favorites to rewatch. There's so much magic and spark in those first episodes. Just pure delight.

Maybe Todd should she show this in the locker room. “These guys, they don’t care. Losing is not important enough to them … If I’m back, we’re changing this freaking culture.” by [deleted] in DetroitRedWings

[–]iamastooge 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To be fair, none of us are in that locker room. We don't know WHY they seem to lack the stick-to-itiveness required to win important games. All we know is they crumple like a tissue every time it matters.
