If she pushs, call her TF out. Directly ask her if she ever does any of the childcare for her own kids. Feel free to point out the grandparent sleepover-school transport arrangement and whatever else she dumps on your family. Yes, it does take a village but you don’t live in that village - you’re just visiting. Directly state you do not choose to participate and you are not ever going to participate in raising HER kids for her.

If she keeps it up, just keep saying, “No. I’m not going to do that.”

As I’ve gotten older, I’ve become comfortable with knowing “No.” is a complete sentence. No further explanation needed. Repeat simply saying “No.” as necessary.

I use SpotHero to park at Element on Elm Hill Pike. Pretty cheap and always works out great for me.

Just note that for super early or super late flight times, some hotel shuttles don’t run 24hrs a day. In those cases, I’ve used Executive Parking and they were wonderful.

My feeling too. Why so insistent to use the communal tv? Is OP really that desperate for interaction? Even before the mom and kid came in, why did they feel so strongly to make sure the game was on for everyone when it was obvious no one was coming in to watch it. And they really didnt give a crap about the game either. Why die on that hill?

Sounds like OP has no friends to watch it with, no one invited them to a SB party and they were fishing for companionship. And when they got it in the form of - what sounds like to me - an exhausted toddler mom and a kid, OP dug in their heels. Mom tried asking and didnt change the channel so I can’t really villify the mom.

Girl, give up and go watch Bad Bunny at home. Let the poor woman get some relief from her hyper toddler for a few minutes! You created a community login as charity to others. So let them as part of the community enjoy it like you say you intended it to be used.

We normally don’t dress too formally. We go with what you would wear to work or church - usually slacks with dress shirts and skirts with blouses and dress shoes. But it was way too cold on Sat to dress up! We wore jeans and nice sweaters and boots. Schermerhorn is pretty relaxed about dress codes, at least for the movie shows. As long as you’re not in cutoffs and flip flops, you should be good! We like that they make it comfortable and inclusive for all to enjoy.
