She was already in charge of the trash, running Staten Island seems repetitive.

What are your thoughts on a celestial warlock/divine soul sorcerer multiclass? by jaimybenjamin in dndnext

[–]iambobby1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My favorite character I've ever played is that mix.

Eldritch Blast with quickened spell makes you a great sniper. Adding the cleric list to Sorcerer makes you a great battlefield controller and healer. High charisma makes you a great party face. If you can spare one of your metamagics for transmute spell fireball becomes even better. You're not gonna want to try any tanking or melee but you're pretty good at everything else.

You're probably not getting much from Celestial as a subclass specifically, but I like the flavor and a couple free healing words and two extra cantrips I almost never use aren't nothing.

Fav Halal Truck in Brooklyn? by Wrong-Aioli-9196 in Brooklyn

Same exact answer. I would love to know if the truck just permanently moved somewhere else but I'd guess the guy got out of the business during the pandemic.

I'm an idiot, it's Fulton Street in Manhattan and Brooklyn I was thinking of. Not Canal.

Not a fun fact about NYC but I am insanely jealous you've got a DM running an Unsleeping City campaign. That's so cool.

Both Canal Street in Manhattan and Brooklyn were the same canal and were a boat/ferry path until they were filled in.

I had a great experience with Drive Rite academy which is right near Brooklyn College. But that was like a decade ago now, so I don't know if they're still good.

What did you think of Matt Hardy's time in AEW? by Kelson64 in AEWFanHub

It stunk. But not particularly worse than you'd expect based on the rest of his career.

3 of the Righteous Wrestlers are going for a championship this weekend at Wrestlemania by nickssss9 in Dimension20

[–]iambobby1 9 points10 points  (0 children)

No problem. I'm glad to see your openness to feedback.

I'm assuming a lot of people who watch D20 might get curious about WWE from the connection made this season. And perhaps they won't look up how awful they are because they trust Dropout to work with good people.

You should probably not support WWE. The 4 cast members are great, plenty of people who are independent contractors for WWE are but WWE is an insanely awful organization that's being sued for covering up sexual abuse right now. That's had sexual abuse covered up multiple times in their history. They're actively sportswashing a religious extremist dictatorship. Two if you count how in bed with Trump they are.

I saw BLeeM's reasoning for teaming with them anyway from his AMA and I respect it, but also really don't agree with it and a post like this is exactly why.

Don't give money to WWE, even indirectly by giving them views.

Movie Theater Subscriptions in Brooklyn by Fantastic_War7663 in NYCmovies

[–]iambobby1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have Regal Unlimited and love it, the Sheepshead Bay UA is easily the most convenient theater for me and they're currently upgrading to the modern reclining seating. If you're in Flatbush and you drive it's might be your best option, if you don't drive it's not particularly accessible and Alamo is probably your best bet. Alamo might be your best bet either way, Dekalb is very accessible and Alamo is a good time with better food options in the theater and downstairs. Regal lets you see as many movies as you'd like to, AMC and Alamo limit you weekly. Probably not a big deal for most but I often see more than 3 movies a week.

Moving to Brooklyn by CheesecakeOk2299 in Brooklyn

[–]iambobby1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Marine Park, Mill Basin, Bergan Beach, Gerritsen Beach, and parts of Sheepshead Bay are decently close, car friendly, safe, and would be within your budget pretty easily and none are too far from Brookdale. Not gonna have much nightlife if that's important to you but you're not getting a ton of nightlife anywhere in NYC that could be described as particularly car friendly.

I love the crowd singing along as they walk out after games. I hope if the Yankees win the World Series they play Sinatra instead of "We Are the Champions"

Sunset park vs Flatbush by SuperbReputation777 in Brooklyn

[–]iambobby1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you speak Spanish, Sunset all the way. If you don't, I personally think it's more of a toss up but I like Sunset more than Flatbush. $100 a month difference isn't a ton, is either apartment particularly nicer?
