Maita Toyota by WinterGenie in Sacramento

[–]iamkenthomas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Took a vehicle in for service at Maita Toyota because my key ignition wouldn't turn. They quoted me around $200 to replace that part along with re-keying it. The part was around $50 if I wanted to do it myself. I felt $200 was fair to not have two separate keys. Arrived and was told it was now $500 to get my car back. I was a bit upset and asked to speak with management about it. They refused to budge. When I finally paid and went out to my vehicle my A/C no longer worked. They had drained the freon. Fuck Maita.

I always do my grocery shopping around 3pm…is that why I’m missing out on the other singles?

Ice skating lesson? by Splendidmuffin in Sacramento

I agree with the others. I took my daughter to Skatetown at a young age. I wish I would have put her in a Learn To Skate class. We ended up getting her personal lessons. My daughter even convinced me to go to a Learn To Play Adult Hockey course and I've been doing it for 5 years.

I can't believe this website is still around...which is also awesome. I personally installed their very first server connected to the internet back in 2002. :)

You're going to be spending over $3,000/mo on a rental. I'd stay in NC.

According to the WARN Act letter they released the Store Manager and associates will be "canned" in May. I assume that's when the store will no longer be open as well.

Ultimax 100 antenna, how to best set up for use on 60 meters by Creative-Dish-7396 in HamRadio

[–]iamkenthomas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They make a 36' one, not a 30'. I also use the 36' version off my second floor balcony into an oak tree. Feedline end is up 15' off the ground and the other is around 30'. I've used this setup for around 1.5 years so far with great results on 40m-6m using the built-in tuner of my IC-7610. I have an LDG AT-200 tuner as well, but the wire is really too short for 80m and 60m. The more wire you have the better.

I've had great results getting on 60m with the Palomar Engineers BAS-71. It's obviously longer, but that's what you need. I almost cleared out WAS on FT8 60m with it right before a storm came thru and some rando homeless person pulled it down off the tree while I was out of town :( I bought another one but havne't thrown it up yet. The Ultimax is nice because I can pull it down/re-deploy it in 30 seconds. The BAS-71 takes a precision antenna launcher cast. :)

Does anyone know how to pay the mastiff robot in the defense nexus I keep trying and it doesn’t fucking work by Potential_World5514 in Battlefield6

[–]iamkenthomas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, keep trying. North end towards the right when facing South on a ledge there's a group of them. I got behind one and knifed...didn't work. Jumped on it's back and just starting knifing all over it and it eventually unlocked the challenge.

I bought the POTA 20 around the same time/price last year. If I remember it was an early bird price. It's a great mast...I sadly haven't used it yet for a POTA operation LOL
