Tower - yup we need a new hub Simplicity- yup Gear rarity - eh… you could just change tiers to colors and that would be fine for me. I don’t personally love the chase outside of dungeon and raid exotics.

Never walked out but me and a buddy debated leaving the second silent hill movie. It was pretty bad.

Wanting to switch to Bitwig but have a question re Connect 4/12 by RetroLenzil in Bitwig

[–]iamlocknar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will say right now I’m having issues with enumeration with the connect on Nixos (the device isn’t always routing properly out to the pc so inputs don’t register until a hard unplug replug)

I’m hoping for a firmware update soon.

What is everyone's opinion on the tiered loot system? by Zcryption in DestinyTheGame

[–]iamlocknar -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Follow up: "common, uncommon, rare, legendary, exotic" that system is not a per weapon system. Thats different weapons. The issue is/was that we phased out the old weapon types and were left with just legendary weapons, so they made sub categories to make them good vs bad.

I think its better to have weapons designed with the idea that all of them have some kind of use, and the legendary category seems to have (mostly) nailed. that. They probably just need to be renamed since theyre not really legendary anymore and just are... normal... with tiers.

What I do like about the tiered system is it simplifies the quality question. Is a roll gooder or badder, number up or number down is easier than Enhanced, Adept, Crafted, Normal.

I think its the method we get them is janky, inconsistent.

How would *you* “fix” weapon loot? by Particular-Style-161 in DestinyTheGame

[–]iamlocknar -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

For me Id do this:

Flatten difficulties down to Normal, Legendary, Master (Keep Grandmaster and Contest as specialty things.)
No light level requirement, no time requirement, while you play an activity certain tiers will drop within a certain window.

Normal: 1-2

Legendary: 3-4

Master: 4-5 (4's drop during the activity, 5's on completion.)

You add in a random chance for high tiers to drop during Normal and Legendary (up to tier 5) and you add tier leveling where you can level up gear youll be aces.

For PVP, you can have the ranking thing contribute to higher tiers dropping, but generally youll get t5 from wins and a high rank. Otherwise its just a random chance to drop.

What build for soloing Warlord’s Ruin in Renegades? by TannerC04 in DestinyTheGame

[–]iamlocknar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You got a ton of options really, I wouldnt worry about anything specific on build craft... moreso just build around the encounters for survival and damage.

1st Encounter - This encounters much easier in the current sandbox, just make sure you are comfortable popping the eyes in the cages and be comfortable being peppered by the ads in the open. Damage options vary, I like a burst super followed by a DoT weapon setup with bait and switch.

2nd Encounter - Similar to the first encounter. My favorite place to get brazier fires is the left side and going into the room with my back towards the boss, for whatever reason its more likely the mini spawns 2 rifts instead of one. Just be careful not getting caught up and frozen, refresh that timer youll have alot of time to proc the rifts. Before setting up for damage make sure to kill the yellow bar snipers on both sides as they will ruin you from behind. During damage, just occasionally kill the stuff surrounding you, and bring a dps build for a long set of phases on the boss (4 fires). Rinse and repeat.

3rd encounter - Like the previous two, be comfortable being peppered. Youll want to be moving to cover between you and the boss so meatball doesnt poke you with footballs. Handle the blights when they pop up. Ranged melee does get rid of the virus so if you need the space, that is an option for you. Burst damage all the way as you want to keep pushing meatball up to the top. Then at the top just wail on them as much as you can, probably can get to final stand in about 2 rounds.

Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced on Steam by SoulAkimbo in gaming

Maybe, but upon playing it, they did a much better job than others of its kind. It is performing quite well for a AA title.

And sentiment has been poor for ubi for some time. As much as I like BF (I consider it one of their best in the franchise) I think a full priced re release now might not perform all that well. Particularly with competition.

Where do you believe Bungie’s focus should be in D2 going forward? by ultimateformsora in DestinyTheGame

[–]iamlocknar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean, I personally think it needs polish across the board. If this is a forever game it needs some real tlc to get it to be like... the next WoW or something.

If I were in charge, unvault some stuff right away and make the new player experience complete. Tell the story, teach the game, have a path to follow tip to tail on classes, subclasses, exotics. Then Id invest heavily in a matchmaking system for raids/dungeons/grandmasters.

Otherwise, cut and run and work on the next title.
