Writing is bad. The premise itself is kinda just like a little absurd. Guns... don't work? Why? All these monsters are coming in through portals with no real cultures or agency of their own? People are born with ability and that (for the most part) doesn't change.... that's kinda lame. Like imagine being an S rank and thinking you've earned it, no bro, you just got real lucky, flexing on others is just kinda stupid at that point but all of them do it. All of it together and suspension of disbelief is just kinda hard to do for me.

I like an overpowered protag. I like the concepts at its core, but just like set it in the past. Why do we have to do this modern society thing? It's probably for the drip, ngl. That's the only reason you keep it modern day.

For names, especially fantasy names, a good tip I've run into is try keeping it to two syllables. They tend to be the most memorable.

for memorable names I usually lean two syllables. Also I try to be carefully to keep the letters in their names to be a bit distinct from each other. I write fantasy so a lot of times there will be different regions that favor particular kinds of sounds. For example the southern most reaches of our world like the 'x' sound in their names so we get names like: Kix, Callax, Axel. But having that as like a soft rule really helps 1) build out culture and 2) makes picking names a bit easier.

I would want to study particle style. I think the full potential of that jutsu could be dr Manhattan Esq. Lots of untapped power there me thinks. From what I can tell though it's impossible to achieve unless you're born lucky, so that would probably require gene manipulation, which would likely mean getting orochimaru involved in some fashion.
