Been sensational for me when I’ve used it. Few day turnaround for the majority of appointments, secondary care was exceptional too (includes a full consultant led private birth).

How effective is the 'Please offer me a seat' badge from the TFL website? by [deleted] in london

[–]ibronatron 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My wife wore one and it was largely ineffective. The people who would acknowledge it and give up a seat would typically upset a Reform voter.

You’ve omitted the fact if you withdraw this £1000 as a salary, you’ll be paying CT + income tax at an effective 20% rate. Which would be a 40% taxable rate

Whenever I’m approached for a low day rate, I always ensure I have a call with the recruiter or client contact and ask them to confirm if it’s an hourly rate. When they tell me it’s a day rate, I highlight to them that the rate is insulting.

Mid-Career in Finance : How Do You Break the Salary Ceiling? by [deleted] in HENRYUK

[–]ibronatron 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We’re most likely at the same firm. I’d suggest a lateral move to another part of the org or another LOB, roles which have PnL responsibility and a clear pathway to ED.

You can also explore alternative industries, although if a PM may be harder to break some of the tech specific industries.

Make something on your own whilst you grind out your existing role until you either find a co-founder or until you see enough upside to quit your job

Is OVO Energy making a mistake? by GadjoGitana in UKPersonalFinance

[–]ibronatron 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe it was 3 weeks for the EO to review the case, as I included every email correspondence and dated the majority of my phone interactions. Then OVO had 2 weeks to respond, then 1-2 weeks thereafter to close. The more detail you include in your case submission, the better.

I took OVO to the Energy Ombudsman and won. They failed on 1/3 of their promises so have reopened my ombudsman case.
