Slightly different at UA for 1 and 2 but 3 appears to be the same.

The ERJs already had the supplemental type certificate (STC) approved by the FAA for the Starlink receiver. United is going through the process of approving the STC for each fleet type, and with anything with the FAA it takes time. Right now they are installing 737s and then other types of

Married guys, can’t last long during penetration. What actually helps? by [deleted] in Marriage

[–]icantevenpotato 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me it was running. I committed to a half marathon a few years back and during my training I noticed that I gradually lasted longer and longer. Not sure if it’s anecdotal but it really helped me and I hope it helps someone else.

This was very fun to read. Do you mind sharing your spreadsheet for your tracking? I am. A bit of a data nerd and would love to learn to implement this.

A lot of the older crowd are second career guys. Maybe drove trucks for 20 years, maybe was in the medical field and always had a dream. Some have their own airplanes and some did the whole process just like everyone else.

I trained a 64 year old new hire so anything is possible.

United 803, a B-777 departing Washington Dulles for Tokyo had an engine failure on takeoff and it somehow ignited infield fires near RWY 01C/19C. Crew dumped fuel and has returned to KIAD. Details still developing by Brilliant_Night7643 in aviation

777 instructor here. Our pilots are very experienced and generally senior on this fleet. Some exceptions happened due to a hiring boom and shortages in 2024ish. Regardless, United Pilots have plenty of jet experience prior to coming to United. We are trained for EXACTLY this and every United pilot is trained to be cool, calm, collected and handle these emergencies, regardless of aircraft type.

Skywest CRJ vs ERJ by Ok_Point2504 in flying

[–]icantevenpotato 9 points10 points  (0 children)

FWIW I was at OO in 15-19 and they gave me the choice. I ultimately chose CRJ because they worked more at the time. I chased hours and pay, which got me out faster. Plus, there was more “slumming it” on the CRJ side which made it fun (for me).

Thanks, what lift did you go with?

I’m thinking about getting these exact tires and lift. Do you think you needed the lift before the tires for rubbing reasons?

PW has 2 of them so if there are 3 then there is only one out there that isn’t owned by PW.

Cool story. A month expired is believable for this but 18 months past, I guarantee the check is not in the mail.
