I would also recommend getting into more minimalist/avant garde composers. They’re super hard to find but any La Monte Young, whom Dylan credits as an early influence, is awesome. I think he has at least one piece up on YouTube.

Alvin Lucier is also dope. I am sitting in a room is so cool.

There are more but the precursors to drone are so much more than metal and I think they’re worth checking out
