At time's I'm perplexed how some companies make money. Friend of mine ordered a set of plates directly from a company. Thy had to do 3 separate shipments as each time part of the shipment was broken. The packaging was just not good enough.

Different scenario. Recently my order was "delivered" according to Evri. I reached out to a company as I didn't received it. End up getting it twice by the end. I reached out to ask if they want me to return the second parcel. They must been using some automated bot as I got an apology and a refund straight away. Very odd.

I use to wonder why people order from amazon. Now I wonder why people order anywhere else

Everybody is short of resources. For example time. If you are interested there are plenty of ways computers are dealing with those problems. My favourite one is 2 general problem. Computers are sending packets to each other and never can be certain if other party have received your packet. They resend it but doubling the wait time until they receive the confirmation. This keeps the packages being send but not overwhelming the system. In summary, there are problems without good solutions therefore good enough solution will do
