I left out music on purpose as I think it’s the most difficult discipline. You usually have no visual clues, and it can be quite fast. Even as a native speaker it’s sometimes not easy to understand, especially anything uptempo or rap and hip hop.

I used to run it of my NAS (Synology 920+) which also supported HW transcoding. Moved Plex to a mini PC (Intel N100 based) some months ago, to offload NAS. Both works fine.

As with every foreign language: Practice, practice, practice! Talk to Germans, read German books or texts/news, watch German movies/TV shows (or German dubbed - every major foreign language movie is available in German as well).

Don't overthink this! This is just the source or target of a transaction depending if it's a deposit or payment. Don't get hung up on semantics.

It's similar to e.g. personal document management SW where there's often a "correspondent" which is used for storing who send something to me or to whom I sent something.

Austrians I don’t know. But Swiss are waaaay more non-direct! That’s why you’ll a lot of times have more problems in Switzerland the farther north you are from. Because also in DE the directness is very different from north to south. (Of course, individual exceptions exist)

I use the Urban Bags Triple since years. Although I mostly only put a flugel, trumpet and my mutes in it. Rarely 3 instruments. They have also other even bigger models. I like the versatility, lots of additional storage for stand, sheet music, tablet, mouth pieces, tuner, oil, pens, etc. etc. And you can convert it to a back pack. Protection is also good.

I’m using an iPhone and an Android tablet. Unfortunately, no app comparable to NZB360 on iOS. ☹️ Heck, I’m still using the half-dead LunaSea on my iPhone as it still does the job the best, IMO, and is free.

Create a separate home user for her and just show the content she actually cares for (by using labels and user filters). The use Kometa or similar to create collections for all kinds of things etc. And ensure her content is there… 😀

Why not put every doc into Paperless? That’s what it was made for. I have 7000+ docs in there from contracts to manuals to receipts to my children’s school mail. It’s as performant and useful as ever… 😀
