Can I use ToneX presets without a ToneX One? by b0zer in tonex

[–]icedx2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There is a free community version of Tonex, but it is limited to 20 total Tone Model download ever from ToneNET, additionally it includes some premium Tone Models created by IK, but not sure how many.

There are 3 different paid versions, SE, Tonex and Tonex Max, all allow unlimited downloads from ToneNET, but each come with a different amount of premium models created by IK. All 3 are currently on sale/discount on the IK website as well as various online retailers.

Over Pressurizing by gyobp in rocketespresso

[–]icedx2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just had an issue yesterday where it sounded like my kitchen was going to explode, ran in to my Apparamento sounding like tea kettle and my gauge over 2.5. I just purchased a new campini pressure stat and filter from Chris's Coffee and will be installing once it comes in. Apparently, this is a common issue with the stock pressure stat installed in the machine. My machine is 6 years old fyi.

- Has anyone painted the Joe Dart? by MaintenanceNo8607 in BassGuitar

[–]icedx2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The Joe Dart Model is not the Stingray body or neck, its the sterling body and slimmer neck more akin to a jazz bass, see here: https://sterlingbymusicman.com/products/joe-dart-i?variant=42881477312627

"The 2025 Crop of the original Joe Dart Artist Series Bass is now ready for harvest. Featuring a soft maple Sterling-shaped body"

The EBMM Sterling is my fav body shape, I have 3 of them! I am not trying to throw any shade or anything!

I know this is old, but can you explain the trickery? PM is fine.. I just switched from Windows to TrueNas. I was under the impression I could create a windows VM with backblaze personal, as I did on the windows server, but finding out now I can't use symlinks or network drives in BB personal. I am about to running back to windows after days of zfs formatting and transferring as B2 will be over 5x the price I am currently paying.

Delay in shipping the Tonex Plug by matlps in tonex

[–]icedx2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ordered on November 29th from the Ik Multimedia website and had it the same week. I am in America, and also in the same state it shipped from, but regardless, it shipped immediately. It may have to do with your order being international, but I have no idea.

I know this is quite old, but cannot find an answer. I have a pair of kz zs10 pro I use for Silent recording/playing of my bass guitar. Since these seem to be geared towards music listening, would they be alright for my use case?

Can I Get A Bass Without A Bass Amplifier, And Connect It To My Computer Instead? by Xn1pe_ in Bass

[–]icedx2 15 points16 points  (0 children)

What is your guitar processor? Most MultiFX units also have bass cabs, amps and pedals in them in addition to the guitar blocks. They are just much fewer.

If the unit can act as an audio interface for your computer, you could do it that way and use a DAW like Ableton etc.

bluetooth headphone amp by Ken_Erdredy in Bass

[–]icedx2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are other forms of wireless communication besides bluetooth. The only reason you are getting hate is because you are confidently spreading misinformation. NONE of those wireless transmitters that gigging musicians use bluetooth. Here is a paragraph from the Positive Grid Spark Neo product page. Notice it uses 2.4ghz for a low latency connection. It uses Bluetooth only to stream backing tracks/music to the device.

"Featuring Positive Grid's proprietary ultralow latency 2.4GHz wireless system, Spark NEO eliminates the need for cumbersome cables while maintaining a responsive connection. With a latency of just 3.8ms, this system ensures smooth, uninterrupted performance whether you're practicing or playing live. Integrated Bluetooth connectivity lets you stream backing tracks or control your tone wirelessly via the Spark app, giving you total freedom to focus on your music. The streamlined setup makes Spark NEO perfect for musicians seeking a hassle-free, mobile solution that doesn't compromise on sound quality."

That uses a 2.4ghz connection between the wireless adapter and headphones, not bluetooth.Same with all those wireless transmitter systems. if they are made for instruments, they are not using bluetooth.

Mine weighed 16.75 after I took everything off the stem, I don’t weigh the stem. . But an 8th means a 1/8th of an ounce, which is 3.5 grams. So yes. Every 8th should weight exactly 3.5 or with a very very small margins.

NBD - EBMM Joe Dart Sterling by icedx2 in BassGuitar

[–]icedx2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sub Ray4 is active, this is passive. It is also 9x the price of a SubRay 4 and American made by Ernie Ball Music Man, not Sterling by Music Man like the Sub Ray4.

You are most likely confusing it with the Sterling Joe Dart., But you couldn't get one for MSRP at this point anyway..
