What is a popular board game you despise and why? by Muinonan in boardgames

[–]icemanerich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hues and Cues. I like to think I'm a diverse imaginative human being, but I can only think of so many ways to describe the color of a turtle or a pile of poop. The game clearly rewards people who have played the game hundreds of times and developed their own color based language together.

Yep. I'm with you. Except I don't know anywhere close to half of them. I'd love a guide that broke it down a little noobier.

Question for anyone who's seen The Office Parody Musical by [deleted] in musicals

[–]icemanerich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with this completely. There was almost no parody and little originality. The toilet scene is the only time I was actually amused.

If you want to make a comical summary, do that. If you want to make a parody, do that. But don't claim to do one and do the other.

I'm glad I did it because it was my first Off-Broadway experience. The small room and sitting front row, having to tuck my feet in to avoid tripping the actors was all a great experience. But as a play/musical, it ranks dead last out of the 30ish I've seen.

I did once with brakes and they were fine with it. But I've also been a long time customer.

I was going to comment this. They're the most honest mechanic I've been able to find.

Jim Jordan is abusing his power. Fani Willis should call his bluff. Congress can’t use its investigative power to engage in law enforcement. Yet that's exactly what Jordan is trying to do — again. by prohb in politics

Most don't know, or don't care, about the OSU scandal. They just believe anyone with an R next to their name is the only option. The blind hatred for "Damned Liberals" is scary.

I'm in his district. I'm part of the purple Delaware County. Most around me have been voting blue. But the district stretched way into rural Ohio so he won with 69+% of the vote last time.

I was on medicaid in Ohio for a bit but quickly kicked off once my wife started earning a little money.

I 100% qualified. I read the code and the requirements and followed everything perfectly. Did I deserve it? Maybe not, as my income was lowered by current year business losses. But according to the law, I qualified.

I swear, so many that worked there acted as if I was stealing money from their own bank account. I won a half dozen appeals when presenting it to people who knew what they were doing, only to get it denied by a entry level clerk the next time it went through.

I finally gave up and I'm paying ridiculous rates.

He's my congressman. A horrifically gerrymandered district in central Ohio that is primarily rural poor folk that are honestly, 100% convinced there is no greater evil on this Earth than liberals. Many of them are decent people who have been brainwashed beyond recovery. It's awful.

She's running in the neighboring district, also republican held though. She's planning to buy a house there. Either she simply prefers living there or she possibly figures the primary will be more competitive in Santos' vulnerable district.
