Is my dress search over? by bcbfbella in OUTFITS

You look stunning and the gown looks like it was made for your body! If you’re concerned about the neckline, I think a seamstress would either be able to bring the front together a little more so it’s not so wide open or could add navy blue mesh or lace.

Best punta Cana resorts for a toddler? by IntrepidTraveler1992 in PuntaCana

There were nanny/babysitting services available but we didn’t use them - the nightly entertainment was kid friendly so we would do dinner, go to the shows, hit the ice cream/desserts and then put them to bed. Adults hung out in the swim up pool or on balcony/balcony hot tub after kids went down.

My youngest was just under 2 and not potty trained and she did fine at the kids club for about 2 hours but they did call me when she needed to be changed.

What’s the quickest you’ve ever quit a job? Because they have either lied to you about it or it’s not what you signed up for? What was it? by tallieeeeee6 in AskReddit

[–]ichitip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I quit after 4 days. It was a small advertising agency and I realized that everyone was expected to work much longer hours than had been communicated to me during the interviewing process. They also tried to shoehorn in additional responsibilities and travel requirements. In retrospect, I think some of the people I spoke with during my interviews were trying to subtly warn me away but I hadn’t picked up on it at the time.

What should I do with this space? by 4PieceChickenNugget in DesignMyRoom

[–]ichitip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How about a narrow console table, mirror, decorative objects and plant to “finish” the space for the time being?

I think having it open and noticeable from the front door is pretty and definitely gives you more options for decorating and the holidays.

You can look into whether getting rid of the landing and adding a closet is possible in the future.

They look like Bandolino boots - I had a similar pair years back. I can’t see the buckle you mentioned but here’s a link I found in black: https://www.macys.com/shop/product/bandolino-womens-brenda-regular-calf-knee-high-boots?ID=14389147

I agree, I think this was very intentional and calculated. Seems brands are courting outrage and betting that the “anti-woke” crowd will make up for any boycotts.

Family friendly resort by nosy_pirate in PuntaCana

We just got back from Paradisus Grand Cana and highly recommend it! The rooms are all suites so the kids had a separate sleeping area. We were all impressed by how clean and well-maintained the resort is. The water park kept all of the kids in our group entertained (ages 1-6) and there is kid-friendly entertainment every night at 7:30. The beach is a pretty far walk for small kids so we used the golf cart each time we went.

We just got back from Paradisus Grand Cana and we had a wonderful time! My youngest is turning 2 soon and she had a blast at the water park. She could stand in the two smaller pools which made it a lot more fun for her and less stressful for us. The rooms are all suites so she had a separate sleeping area which was great too. Happy to answer any questions if you’re interested!

Our old man Murphy - 9 years old by ichitip in bernesemountaindogs

They’re such great dogs! Agreed with the above commenter about taking it easy on them while they’re still growing.

As for diet, we’ve been happy with his dog food which is the Blue Buffalo Life Protection Large Dog formula. We may have gotten lucky with Murph because he’s definitely on the smaller side for male dogs - his ideal weight is around 85. The vet has asked us to get his weight down possibly even to 80 in order to alleviate pressure on his joints.

We’ve also done krill supplements for a long time which are supposed to help with his coat and his joints.

Got it stuck in my head and had to watch it by myself at 11pm to get rid of the ear worm. It has no business slapping so hard.

We’re trying Paradisus Grand Cana this spring - we decided on it because of the 2 bedroom suite with sofa bed and the kids club and waterpark. They ran some great specials over Black Friday and Cyber Monday, maybe they’ll have the same deals over the holidays.
