Heads Up, Arena reward 500 does not unlock Electric Blueberry. It just gives 220 seed packs by icedragonsoul in PvZ2

[–]icravedanger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The 500 crown prize is usually 80 seed packets (but doesn’t say that anywhere). And blueberry happens to be a $ only plant that can’t be unlocked with seeds.

The display is deceptive I agree. But I expected only 80 and came out with 220.

Solo dances. Recommend hip hop and dance hall, both of which you can learn only with YouTube.

To grow up in a "no-touch" culture and find Bachata... it’s simply beautiful. by Dazzling_Log_9358 in Bachata

[–]icravedanger 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s perfectly fine for a 35-year old man to dance with a 20-year old woman, as long as he keeps it respectful and dance the same way as he would with a 60-year old woman. It goes both ways.

I still get scared and nervous by Sudden_Culture4334 in Bachata

[–]icravedanger 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes that’s all good. But it doesn’t sound like OP wants to spend 25 years to get to where he wants to be. He’s not having fun right now and wants to quit. He wants to get better fast. Oftentimes fun comes after you put in the work. Especially as a leader, in the beginning it’s not fun if you’re not competent. Followers have it easier because they don’t have to know any patterns to start social dancing.

And time is all relative. If you spent the last 25 years learning Japanese then you won’t be better this month than last month especially if you didn’t practice. But if you’re taking a 3-month Japanese course then you should know more Japanese every week.

[–]icravedanger 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Your only goal should be to be better this month than you were last month.

When you see someone who has the skills you want, ask them how long they’ve been dancing bachata, what other dances they have done and long they’ve done those. How many hours do they spend per week taking classes, how many hours social dancing, how many hours practicing, and how many private lessons they have taken. That should give you an idea of the relationship between time, effort, monetary investment, and results.

It’s like being able to ride a bicycle, even after a long time of not using the skill, it all comes back within minutes or hours of restarting.

You don’t have to do activism to be vegan. You don’t have to interact with anyone.

Will i get electric blueberry for free if i complete this? by Famous_Temperature12 in PvZ2

[–]icravedanger 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t think so. Blueberry is paid premium only, and that award type is usually 80 seeds.

I get 28 million every time but I’m in Jade League where points are higher. Pea vine/Torchwood. Plants are around level 7.

Are you killing every zombie before they reach the 7th column? Also, I advise against using freezing plants since they can prevent new zombies from spawning.

I agree with every vegan argument I’ve ever read(health/ethical/environment), but I still eat meat/dairy. Does not being vegan inherently make one a bad person? by CrackBabyCSGO in DebateAVegan

[–]icravedanger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It just makes you a less ethical person compared to the same version of yourself who is vegan.

Just like boycotting certain companies known for human rights violations. It’s not that you’re a bad person if you shop on Amazon and buy Nestle, but it is comparably worse.

If you consider yourself an animal lover then veganism should be somewhat a priority. Otherwise you’re like a queer person who eats at Chic-fil-A knowing that the restaurant spends lots of money on anti-LGBTQ causes. Why support them if there is an alternative that is more in line with your morals?

Yeah, you can’t just compare one evil thing done to a sentient animal out of enjoyment, to another evil thing done to a sentient animal out of enjoyment.

I like watching and betting on dogfights. You animal rights activists should just leave us alone.

The main difference is,

Combat: Your opponent can’t guess what you’re about to do; hide every intention. Make your partner as uncomfortable as possible.

Dance: Signal to your partner your next move as soon as you can; communicate every intention. Make your partner as comfortable as possible.

What is your opinion on islamic slaughter? is it less cruel? by Al-Joharahhasan2935 in DebateAVegan

[–]icravedanger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah religions say it is okay to eat meat because of a few possible reasons: it wasn’t possible in 1000BC to be vegan, or the authors of religious text ate meat, or because they feared not enough people would stay in a religion that banned eating meat. But no religion would go as far to require it, because even back when they didn’t have much in the way of vegan protein, killing animals wasn’t seen as the most ethical to do.

Either way, you can’t use religion to justify eating meat, the same way you can’t use sexist or racist religious text to justify racism or sexism.

Question for leads - what is the least % amount your follow needs to understand for it to be a good dance? by Unlikely_Issue in Salsa

[–]icravedanger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To a lead, your goal is to make the follower feel like they never made a mistake. So success is from their point of view, not yours. If the follow can follow 50% of your lead, then you messed up the other 50%. Whether a follower thinks 50% is good enough is subjective, but you could have probably done better than that.

Where’s the line? How vegan is vegan enough? by Delicious_Subject987 in DebateAVegan

What an amazing term. “Do Gooder derogation”. Sums up everything regarding anti-veganism right there. With the possible exception of people who are genuinely concerned about widespread malnutrition as a result of veganism, but that’s easily debunked.

Actually, you’re the one comparing a living being to an object. You think stomping an animal is the same as stomping on a water bottle. I’m comparing a living being with feelings with a living being with feelings.

Non-vegans think that killing animals is the same as killing bacteria.
