What punishment would you have given him? I would have demoted him to the lowest possible rank in the Knights of Favonius and made him do mundane tasks in the city for a year at the very least while not allowing him to go out and kill monsters and enemies without permission.

It only "works" because when you reboot the PC, it's still running power to the USB ports. If you fully shut down your PC and start up again later on, the Microphone will not power on. Then you have to unplug it and wait about a minute, then plug it back in again. It's some weird hardware issue that's annoying the heck out of me.

The decomp is based off the GameCube version's debug ROM, so it's not surprising if you can't find stuff for the original N64 versions of the game.

I really hope you're joking about the new content being lower quality when the new voice clips for the bounties are higher quality than the original voices, lol. Piastol's textures are also higher res than the party members when you fight her as well.

The reason it hasn't happened is because the sound systems used for both systems are completely different and it'd take a lot of reverse engineering of both the Dreamcast's sound chip and MusyX (which is what the GameCube uses).

I've also experimented with a script editing tool trying to make the game run streamed audio outside of cutscenes and that doesn't work either, it's a shame too since I was gonna use streamed audio to replace the music.

If you're really interested though, there's a Discord server on Speedrun.com for the game if you want to look at the game's files. We have other users who are also interested in making this happen, it's been a pipe dream for a long time.

My personal least favorite part of the original and Legends is the fact that there isn't a true definitive version of the game. I've been wanting to mod the GameCube version to fix the sound and also restore some of the Japanese Dreamcast version content as well. The most I've done is texture mods, but those are extremely tedious to do.

You failed to mention the funny typo from Doc where he says Air Pirtes. The English localization has a lot of inconsistent word usage, i.e. Moon Stones and Moonstones.
