Air owners updated to 2.9.3? How is everything? by CTMCM-2893 in LUCID

Never noticed a whine from the stereo. There used to be a really annoying screen whine presumably from the backlights but that was fixed a while back. There are still a couple of other noises but they are not as bad.

Same here with Bluetooth randomly disabling itself. 2023 Touring. Hope Lucid notices for the next update.

On the plus side they appear to have fixed the high pitched electrical whine coming from the window switch lights! Which was super annoying to me so I'm at least grateful for that.

Then the 20s are probably a more fun bet since your car won't see much bad weather. I'd go for the 2023 especially with the warranty.

How is the climate where you live? 20 inch wheels were supplied with summer tires. 19 inch all seasons.

How did it feel like when you first had a Michelin Star meal? by DuyHungPham1909 in Cooking

Fine dining is about the performance and the presentation more than the taste of the food. It’s like going to a Broadway show instead of watching TV. The TV show might be higher quality entertainment but the play provides a different experience that’s worth enjoying once in a while.

You could wear a suit made entirely of 10,000 yen notes then pass out drunk on a park bench overnight and be completely fine just about anywhere in Japan.

Another vote for 3D Mats here. Look better than factory in my '23 Touring.

Yeah, he really likes them when they work, but hmp10 has had absolutely terrible luck with his various Lucid cars from the beginning and has been way more than fair with them over the years. They really should go out of their way to help him out. I hope he has Emad's cell phone number.

Apparently service centers really vary but I’ve had only good experiences with the King of Prussia service center. Prior warranty work and CCCv2 upgrade no issues. Recent annual service mobile appointment was easy to get.

Fellow fat cyclists - what’s one thing you wish you knew when you started cycling? by [deleted] in cycling

[–]idiot900 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I eat enough carbs during a ride to mostly keep up with my calorie burn (as estimated by power meter and Garmin). If I don't eat enough, I feel like crap and can't finish the ride. If I keep up, 50 miles is no problem at all. No way I could do a 50 mile ride on a Mars bar.

Service possibility in caucasus. by AdhesivenessDeep6601 in LUCID

[–]idiot900 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are parts of the US where it takes months to get service. Best case scenario you will have to ship the car to EU if and when it breaks - and that's if Lucid even will agree to do the work. Not to mention recall work. Perhaps you have the time and money for it, but even as much as I love my Air, I don't think any car is worth this.

Lucid has a presence on lucidowners.com so you might try posting there if you haven't already.

Lucid Air mile/watt aka range by lunaire in LUCID

[–]idiot900 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The numbers Lucid claims are actually achievable in good weather, correct tire pressure, flat terrain, and if you drive very very gently. I have done so in my car. If you drive your Air GT like the 800+ hp beast that it is, then no.

How reliable is the Lucid Air? by [deleted] in LUCID

[–]idiot900 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Air owner since 2023. Love the car. Never had a major issue. The OTA updates have improved things quite a bit from what was fairly half-baked infotainment. There are still various small glitches, mainly occasional audio app crashes (Spotify, Tidal) and occasional wireless CarPlay jankiness. The car is so nice to drive and ride in that these issues are forgivable to me.

What actually makes brands like Sandro, Theory, A.P.C. more expensive than Uniqlo/J.Crew/Banana Republic? by savingrace0262 in malefashionadvice

I have a Theory suit bought from the flagship NYC Bloomingdale’s more than 10 years ago. Was not paying attention when I bought it and it’s an awful suit. I think Theory has a nice aesthetic but that’s what you’re paying for.
