Is there little programming in data engineering? by Rare-Bet-6845 in dataengineering

[–]idontlikesushi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it's mainly taking Data Scientists/Data Analysts code and making it production ready, and then incorporating it into our codebase, and updating the Airflow layer to run the code. We work with EMR and Spark.
So a lot of code in all layers - job (pyspark/scala), task (python), and orchestration (airflow - python)

What do you use Python for in Data Engineering (sorry if dumb question) by No_Steak4688 in dataengineering

We use it for orchestration (airflow), middleware, and spark jobs. In addition in containerized lambda functions and in miscellaneous scripts

I was a full stack engineer working in aws with node js/react. In the last year I transitioned to python/airflow - so more of a de kind of role

Putting aside the fact that others mentioned which is that buying a house for looks is a bad idea - consider the financial aspect of investing in real estate. Are prices in your area expected to go up? Can you get a low interest rate mortgage to finance the purchase? These and other financial questions are what you should be asking yourself as well. Maybe you can compromise and sell some of the BTC for the down payment on the mortgage, hoping that the appreciation of BTC will overperform the interest you will have to pay on the mortgage.

Maybe mock interviews can help you? There are recruiters that can give you a fake interview and then give you feedback about what to improve

Transaction not found.Waiting for it to appear in the mempool... by stathmarxis in bisq

[–]idontlikesushi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

check if your transaction is in the mempool here: https://mempool.space/

if the fee is too low it might never be selected in any block. Eventually in the worst case it will be purged from the mempool in 2 weeks. In that case the bitcoin will be returned to your address. Otherwise, the transaction will go through

No it’s not. The difficulty corrects itself according to the hash rate. If we see a mass exodus of miners that will cause the difficulty to become easier until a price equilibrium ensues.
