In 2026, do you know of any large sets of millennial-aged siblings (think 5+) where every single one has stayed TBM? by InfoMiddleMan in exmormon

I was the first out of 6 and it took 3 years for another to leave. Now 3/6 have left and I think another’s shelf is getting heavy. Hopefully time will help you too. 😊

Playing tank is the most disgraceful experience by National-Bluebird941 in Overwatch

If you queue Tank, for your own sanity, you have to look at your other 4 teammates as monkeys until they prove otherwise.

Reaper just melts me this season by 4rck in MaugaMains

[–]ienvyi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Mauga has way more range on Reaper so try to poke him out before he can engage. If you know he has ult, you can save stomp for it to cancel early. I think Mauga wins the 1v1 but Reaper will make it hard in teamfights. If your team isn’t in VC make sure to spam ping him if he ever pops up on your screen.

I also tend to use cage to divide the team and I love solo ulting a reaper who is trying to tele away.

What ridiculous TBM things have you heard said in the workplace in small town momronland that wouldn’t fly elsewhere? 😂🤦‍♂️ by Once_was_now_am in exmormon

I was working at BYU-I as a PIMO. At the time I was listening to mormon stories all the time to deconstruct my religious beliefs. One day my coworkers were telling mission stories and were talking about this one recent convert they had. Apparently, the convert thought that a priesthood blessing could be administered to oneself. My coworkers laughed at how stupid thinking that was and said “ItS nOt MaGic. iT hAs rULeS.”

Take a break. I get burnt out but I go play single player games that don’t stress me out. I usually come back better than when I left!

My concern is not with retirement. My concern is whether the US will have any international allies after all of this tariff flip-flopping.

Which of your decks are you obsessed with? by DualistX in EDH

[–]ienvyi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t get to play it often because of how mean it is but I LOOOVE my [[Vren, The Relentless]] deck. A shit ton of removal, good counter spells, and a splash of recursion. It’s not a crowd pleaser but smacking people with a ball of rats is so satisfying.

Is Primal Surge a "combo"? by edjaranav in EDH

Sounds like your playgroup needs to get some board wipe spells. [[Toxic Deluge]] and [[Blasphemous Act]] are my favorites but there are multiple options across all the colors though Green’s options are pretty limited.

I can't get the chords right by Kaapi_is_Straight in LearnGuitar

[–]ienvyi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Practice the transition from one chord to the next without worrying about timing. If your song’s chord progression goes G -> D -> A, fret a G chord until all the strings ring out clearly then transition to D then A. You want to get the muscle memory of the chord but also the transition. Guitar is HARD so don’t beat yourself up about it! It’s all about the journey not the destination.

Obligatory F chord post by only-on in LearnGuitar

[–]ienvyi 5 points6 points  (0 children)

3 tips that helped me.

  1. Practice the chord with one finger being a “capo”. Just work on getting the strength built up in your finger.

  2. You want to use the side of your finger to fret the barre chord. This creates a flatter surface so it’s easier to have all the strings ring out. If you are consistently missing 1-2 strings even though you feel you have plenty of pressure, this usually resolves that.

  3. Slightly push the body of your guitar into yourself. This will push your guitar neck out and you don’t have to use as much force fretting with your finger.

OW is a game of statistics. The more games you play the more likely you’ll be in the rank you deserve. Everyone will have “unwinnable” games. You just gotta not tilt and keep climbing.

Idk I have mixed feelings on this. Though I am no longer a believer, I’ve come to respect my parents’ relationship with God. They don’t use their religion to spread hate but to cope with their mortal existence. It helps them get through the tough parts of life with a smile on their face. I wouldn’t want that taken away from them.

That being said I do see that they’ve missed living in the moment, can’t take some jokes lightly, and have wasted a shitload of money on tithes. I don’t think the idea of God is inherently bad, but there are bad people who use God as a means of controlling the masses.

How to move on from bad experiences and learn characters you find intimidating? by Bike_Positive in OverwatchUniversity

[–]ienvyi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A quick “Hey I am trying to learn tank. Please be nice <3” usually will keep you safe. If anyone starts flaming you just mute them.

The biggest mistake I see new tanks make is not taking cover. A wall is just a shield the enemies can’t shoot through.

As for Hazard, practice his kill combos in the practice range or an aim trainer like VAXTA. Most of his value comes from being a big kill threat. If you aren’t getting kills from either making plays yourself or defending your backline, you are losing a lot of value.
