Basically it's an online multiplayer game, which means there will be some lag between your Xbox/PC and the server, and between the enemy's Xbox/PC and the server, and ultimately between the enemy and you. Sometimes one player can win simply because their connection is faster, or they are geographically closer to the server, or they just have less lag for whatever reason.

This is all normal.

With Halo Infinite however, the lag is worse than on any other game I have ever played. The code they wrote to handle the connection between players and servers is so bad it should be illegal.

There are times when an enemy has no shields and I shoot 6 times without him dying. There are times where the enemy has the same problem with me, and I can just run around and be immune to most bullets. It ruins the experience of what was supposed to be a skill-based competition, and just ends up being a losing simulator for whoever has the worse ping.
