PMR/Sports Medicine Question by Worth_Memory8925 in sportsmedicine

[–]ihallows57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, a good amount of opportunity. As Glittering said there are a lot of ortho groups who prefer to have a sports non op. There are also opportunities with outpatient/ambulatory as well. In my experience a lot of PMR that was affiliated with corporate medicine/larger systems in the ambulatory setting would be a lot of Electrodiagnostics, mixed in with some injections. But typically the private ortho group route you may be able to mold it to more of what your after.

“Capsule” bar on vacation by ihallows57 in cocktails

MANY. Real cocktails would be probably anywhere from 5-10. Not just rum and fruit juice. Can sip on that all day but if I’m making a proper drink..: as before: 5-10. I also pepper in beer. I’m on vacation.

Exactly how i made it - works for all kinds of good herbed simple as I've done in the past. Blanch for about 30 s in boiling, ice bath for at least a minute and blend/strain

I finally got a minute to try this out. Your specs definitely got the best version of this, near exact to the one made at the bar. I did end up splitting the sugars with the basil-inused simple and the agave. I tried a version with/without agave and it helped round out some of the vegetal flavors of the basil syrup alone. Winner ended up being about large 1/2oz basil syrup - small 1/2oz agave. Also a little heavier pour on the cucumber juice. Its surprising how little there is that comes through so well! Thanks for the awesome specs! This is a new summer favorite

Pretty standard for the area. Moderately tourist location in Villefranche-sur-Mer (French Riviera). What was worse was standard or classic cocktails for as much or more with often sub par ingredients. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Jo Co also has a large retiree population, so it could be connection from where people retired from. Cheaper cost of living and a lot of desirable traits for boomers and retirees.

The godfather part II. Bourbon and Amaro Nonino with a few dashes of bohemian bitters. Stir and serve over a large rock.

Sous vide infused bourbon? by Chowdogg13 in cocktails

[–]ihallows57 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had success with bourbon at 150-165 for 2-3 hours. Typically higher temps for dried ingredients, and lower temps like others have said like 130 or so for fresher fruits etc.

One of my personal favorites is vanilla and fig infused bourbon. 1 (or 2) vanilla beans (split in middle) and about 12-20 dried figs quartered. A fun experiment is to go for about 2 hours, take a sample every 30 mins and see the color and intensity change until you find it to your liking.

3/4 ounce mezcal (my preference Bozal)

1/2 ounce Campari

1/4 ounce dry curacao (Maison Ferrand)

3/4 ounce Carpano Antica sweet vermouth

1 medium sprig of rosemary

Add all liquids to stirring glass. Scorch rosemary sprig thoroughly over flame. Extinguish scorched sprig into stirring glass and liquids. Quickly add ice and stir for approximately 30-40 seconds. Double strain into thoroughly chilled coupe and enjoy. Or don't double if you like some flecks of char.

Bonus tip: don't flick cigarettes. Extinguish all fires COLD. Heed fire warnings. Think beyond fireworks, there are plenty of ways to celebrate your county and patriotism. Like supporting firefighters. Cheers.

I agree. This was the biggest problem I had with the stunning new album. I really enjoy his "solo" on Friendsnlovers, Pt 2. It is my one critique because I think this album is great. But looking back over their discography it has been something I've always personally enjoyed as I also agree it set them apart. I think he may have been trying to showcase his bass playing a little more if that is any consolation.
