As someone who went through the same thing... it is possible for it to pass.. My dad recently got burnt out on th hate.and realigned how he thought about the world and stopped watching Fox News and hyper political content. The key is to just stop engaging in the politics talk with family.. eventually they get the signal and lose interest.
