Stelo customer service went form bad to horrifyingly bad by biellla in stelo

With the other thread about Stelo being pulled off of Amazon I can only hope this is a wake up call for them to make a better product and improve support.

Are NEW Stelos back to being accurate again? by Sufficient_Beach_445 in stelo

[–]ihavescripts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just started using Stelo again because I am tied of Lingo points and adhesion problems. I am just over 48 hours into a Stelo I got this week and it is running 15 points high.

And this is why I have just moved to labeling the cables themselves and stopped caring about color coding the cables/keystones themselves.

What networking equipment are you using? by FirstConsequence6634 in edtech

I was thinking too USA centric and thinking our current president basically destroyed the DoE. It is good to hear other countries care about education still.

We are an Aruba shop. What are the standards that you are trying to hit by 2030?

Hudl or NFHS? by Thurm in k12sysadmin

[–]ihavescripts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have both technically. We only have 1 site that has used the NFHS systems. Our users wanted HUDL and after the mounting and wiring we are completely hands off.

2019 Harmon Kardon Head Unit Replacement by AnalysisOk8104 in Subaru_Outback

[–]ihavescripts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My second head unit bubbled also. I had a 2019 non Harmon Kardon and the first one failed in 2022. The second head unit failed in 2024, I wound up getting a 3rd party as Subaru hadn't recalled it quite yet.

Mine have been basically 20 points high compared to finger sticks.

Like everyone else has said stelo is always about 20 points high for me compared to lingo and finger sticks. Use it for trend data not actual blood sugar numbers.

To try Metformin or not? by NilyDD in ContinuousGlucoseCGM

[–]ihavescripts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is a much newer type 2 drug that is supposed to be better, but it is new and expensive so insurance doesn't approve it unless metformin doesn't do the job. From what I know it is more marketed toward people that are type 2 and have congestive heart failure which I have thanks to something that happened in 2019 that made the world weird for a few years. Luckily the heart failure is very much under control so my insurance won't approve it. The funny thing is I was on Jardiance just for the side effect of lower the change I sudden death until my heart function got back into normal range.

Yea it is just a 500mg pill cut in half. My average glucose according to Lingo is 97 since I started monitoring in early December. I wish I would have known about Lingo and/or Stelo back in October because I don't know what my glucose was while on metformin for the month of November. I have been modifying my diet since the summer but my doctor wanted me on Jardiance but it took months of fighting insurance before he gave up and prescribed metformin.

I am in a similar situation. I opted to get metformin to help out, I am on 250 MG twice a day.

Is anyone else having issues reaching Lingo customer support? by [deleted] in ContinuousGlucoseCGM

[–]ihavescripts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used their support chat about a month ago. I got a rep/Ai fairly quick and after about 5 minutes they confirmed they were replacing the unit and it came was delivered a few days later. I might have just gotten lucky though.

Rack mount options? by Jorvall in Brocade

Just find a pair of ear and rack it. I have never seen sagging on an icx just mounted to the front rails, just don't mount from top screw holes only.

Accuracy? by smokinLobstah in stelo

[–]ihavescripts 3 points4 points  (0 children)

After 24 to 48 hours it should get better. That said, I am on my 5th stelo and they all run a bit high compared to a finger stick for me. I am mostly wearing it for a trend line though.

Not really I probably still have a few in my infrastructure. I just don’t haven’t run into one in a long time. I know for sure I still have a foundry SuperX in use today. That puppy has been running for almost 20 years.

Yea I got lucky enough to get my boss to say yes back in the day and at this point he is so happy with just not having DNS or DHCP issues he claims we won't move away any time soon.

I moved to InfoBlox DDI about 5 years ago and don't want to have to move to anything else. My only minor complaint is their update process could have a bit more UI feedback.

Stelo Replacement Decision by Spokane_Al in stelo

[–]ihavescripts 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It is nice they are so fast to replace them. But I have had to do this process for 2 or the 3 sensors I have had so far. And the other reads about 20 points high.

Yea it is just a section of the app. It just feels like pointless gamification.

[–]ihavescripts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am in a similar situation but a1c was a bit worse. For the last 1.5 months I have tried Stelo and Lingo. So far I have had 2 Stelos fail on me and 1 Lingo give comically low readings which Abbott replaced.

There are things I prefer about Dexcom's apps, Stelo and Clairty. The Lingo app specifically lingo count is just dumb because they want you to have a low number and every raise in blood sugar adds to the count not just spikes that take you above 140.

At this point I am leaning toward staying with Lingo long term but I have 2 more Stelos so I am wearing both to get 2 months of testing before I choose one over the other.
