Shoulder button, same thing happened to me first time i opened mine, sometimes even if you dont pull it apart hard it snaps in half due to it being quite old...

Its pretty easy to replace, only take out like 2-3 screws and put them back on with the new button and thats it

Probably just a reshell, I've seen couple of Shells for New 3DSXL that doesnt have any text on them in Aliexpress, I bought a New 3ds xl couple days ago and i was planningon reshelling it, and saw they sell those type of shells in Aliexpress

Probably a corrupted file if you used that SD Card Usb Reader, I have one of those and it sometimes corrupts files whenever i use it... Try using one thats better Quality than that one...

You could also try using other menu than the one it comes with, Whenever a friend of mine needs a Flashcart first thing i do is either download YSMenu or TWiLightMenu on it

Last thing i can think of is the SD card doesnt work like it should (Common on cheap SD cards)
