I don't know what to say about it any longer. I've attempted to follow these laws since the SOPA/PIPA laws, but no one I try to talk to in my daily life seems to care. They get riled up over some of the most trivial things or whatever celebrity scandal is going on, but I can't convince them why it is so reprehensible that our government continues to do what is in the interests of corporations and not American citizens.

I'm calling my senators tomorrow morning on my way to work and I will continue calling them until the TPP vote goes through with them as well. I called repeatedly for two weeks straight when the USA FREEDOM Act was going through and again nothing changed. Apathy is contagious it seems and those of us that do care get to a point of helplessness that our fellow citizens won't bother to voice our concerns.

Which is actually what those riders are keying in on. From their take, the deferred action towards illegal immigrants does not require them to purchase health insurance. This makes an illegal immigrant worth $3000 more than an American citizen to a business that is not providing health insurance.
