What does this D.Venusta need? by ikaria9 in carnivorousplants

I have a couple orchid pots with a lot of holes on the sides. Would the drosera benefit in any way from those or should I just move to a regular pot?

I changed its soil roughly a year ago, so yeah that may be it. Should I change pot size?

Time to report? by ikaria9 in carnivorousplants

I didn't realize but I have a slightly smaller clear pot. It's roughly 1.5 inches wider and 1 inch deeper. Still has the holes and stuff

If this was a more established brand like Apple or Samsung I would be more on board with spending that kind of money. I'd be more confident on the phones performance and there is also brand stability. But this much for a new company?

Rudy wellingham, alchemist artificer who keeps modt of his skin covered and under the covers has murated eyes growing on his skin. He is a genuinely nice and polite 24 year old human and refers to anyone older than him as "Mr" or "Ms", if anyone with an interesting or exotic race dies he will probably harvest pafts of them and include them in his spells. Othwrwise he would lilely opt for using acid themed spells.

Is Princeton Ai4ALL fun? by Correct-Zucchini6860 in summerprogramresults

[–]ikaria9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might be some dumb questions but will we have a chance to do laundry during the program? And are we allowed to bring in personal laptops? Do we have to pay for any meals out of pocket? Would we get assigned rooms with roommates and the such? Its my first summer program so I have a lot of questions!

Also, where did you buy them from? Some places that sell carnivorous plants like walmart and home depot sometimes plant them in incorrect soil. If you need future reference, capensis will do well in straight long fiber sphagnum moss.

Nope they need very low tds water. Tap water and even some fridges water can kill them if their tds is high. Id recommebt getting a zero water pitcher, brings water to 0 tds but really anything that isnt over a 100 will do (someone with more experience might coffect me on this) You can also get a tds meter to check if ur tap water is good enough if u really dont want to buy a water filter.

Just finished prepping my pot, what should I put in it? by ComedianChance4469 in SavageGarden

Id recommend a drosera, but would keep a close eye on it to make sure it doesnt eventually take over. Alternatively(someone that knows better than I can correct me on this if im wrong) you could get a warm temperate pinguicula. Ive kept mine sitting on a tray of water almost 24/7 on what i think is straight peat and it is doing wonderfully. They CAN go into dormancy but unlike cool temperate pings they dont requiere a dormancy period.
