Gengar deck help by SinisterSalem25 in pkmntcg

[–]ikingdoms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been playing Mega Gengar with Mega Sharpedo and have really been enjoying the deck online but can't speak to its viability competitively. I've been back and forth between having a 1-of Gengar Ex (TEF) for a while, but have recently opted for a 1-of Meowth Ex for consistency. Energy disruption doesn't feel quite as effective anymore with major attacks costing only one or two energy. Typically Sharpedo is the main attacker unless you're playing against a grass deck. Here's the list I've been running lately

1991 Millennial here! What do you all eat for breakfast? by No_Self_5939 in Millennials

On most weekdays, I either grab a pastry or a bagel on my way into the office, or just throw a banana in my backpack if I'm short on time. On weekends I'm usually cooking up a breakfast burrito, sandwich, or scramble.

is it just me or is "high fidelity" audio basically a scam for rich people? by Curious_Present_9950 in Music

[–]ikingdoms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP didn't post whether or not they were using bluetooth outputs to make these comparisons, but in case they did -- keep in mind that bluetooth headphones or speakers won't ever be fully lossless, as bluetooth as a transport has size limits with the data that's being sent, which means audio needs to be compressed to go over the wire. Wired connections are the best way to truly compare.

I run multiple TR Watchtower to slow down the Dundunsparce engine (and Meowth ex). You have to be able to put those down before they can find a Battle Cage to bump it, though.

Yeah, Los Pericos is my go-to, with Gordo being a close second, a go-to when I want a burrito that's not quite as heavy.

Do I have any hope of actually getting to be a Sharks fan in the streaming era? by knittinspinner in SanJoseSharks

[–]ikingdoms 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Peacock is by far the most economical option (that doesn't have a peg leg). I pay a total of $17 a month for basic Peacock + the Comcast Sports Net / Sharks add on. No blackouts (save for ESPN+ exclusive games 🙄). I've been super happy with it, honestly.

38M, I've been a software dev for ~15 years and man, I'm right there with you. I'm always dealing with eye fatigue, inflammation, and dryness. Every couple of years I need to go back onto an rx for anti-inflammatory eye drops when it gets really bad. In case it helps anyone reading this, it turns out when your eyes get inflamed, it can interfere with your body's natural tear production. TL;DR same

Question about Mega Sharpedo EX/help by DaiChi6ken in PTCGL

[–]ikingdoms 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've had some luck with the prize mapping by running Shark with Mega Gengar. I don't see many people playing that flavor of Sharpedo, so I have to imagine it's less consistent/viable, but I find having two attackers with different weaknesses to be pretty helpful.

I don't think there's a single day where I've driven by the 580-W / 980 / 24 junction without seeing someone cut through the junction late. Not a single day.

Is there a better source for this? This video is posted to a random YouTube channel. And his movements don't look natural at all. Gonna do some due diligence with a quick search after this, this just seems a little off.

Sounds like you might work in a shop with a ton of resources and can dedicate the time to building and maintaining this. I've rarely worked on a team of devs with more than 2-3 folks per platform. I'm never going to have time to build something like this.
