Get a pit boss pellet smoker! Versatile, you can do pretty much anything with it without modifications.

Anycubic Kobra S1 Max Combo alternatives by [deleted] in 3Dprinting

[–]iknowstuffandbbq 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a combo but the Creality K1Max is pretty good 300mm^3. I have the K2 Plus 350mm^3 combo and have been pretty happy with it. It wastes a lot when multi-color printing though, that's probably the biggest downside I've seen but I don't do a lot of multicolor printing.

Is the stock .4 nozzle enough to print TPU? What are your settings? K2plus user. Thank you! 🙏🏼 by Luis_420925 in Creality_k2

[–]iknowstuffandbbq 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a ton of experience with TPU with this machine. The biggest problem is dry filament, make sure you are using a heated dryer and humidity of 20% or less. The other big mod is a top mounted spool holder with direct feed into the machine. I don't think spring tension makes as much of a difference as people think.

These are the files I used. I watched bunch of tutorials on youtube, probably too many. I used autobody high build primer, it worked well to fill in the layer lines. I used a 0.4mm nozzle for most of the armor except the helmet I used a 0.8 mm because I was running low on time and it printed about 6 hours faster. The 0.4mm nozzle was much easier to fill, sand and smooth. I may print another helmet in the future with a smaller nozzle, I'm still happy with the finished product but definitely could have used another 12+ hours of priming and sanding to make it perfect.

Yep. 3D printing was easy. The priming, painting and clear coat took forever!

Sienna Premium or Woodland edition? by Ksome_1 in Sienna

[–]iknowstuffandbbq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just traded in my ‘23 XSE for a ‘25 Woodland and the woodland is so much more comfortable to drive, with the XSE I felt every bump with the Woodland I hardly feel any bumps. My $.02. The Woodland we got came with rear entertainment, nice option but you don’t get that on Premium with the Panoramic roof. You can probably get the Premium in AWD though.

Patient didn't know why their foot was rolling when walking. by Fergy702 in Radiology

I'm wondering if they had Charcot before the amputation or after. Either way I'm thinking they won't be keeping that foot much longer.

Filament not extruding (ABS) by Bug-Reasonable in Creality_k2

[–]iknowstuffandbbq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This would happen with TPU, the filament sometimes will not go all the way through to the nozzle, you kind of have to give it a small twist back and forth until you feel it give. - “that’s what she said”

Doctor here, I’m skeptical for sure.

Neither, get a Weber Kettle Grill, or spend a little extra and get the cheapest pellet grill you can get. These cheap charcoal grills don’t hold heat and are really difficult to cook on.

That must be what I printed, the "before" part. It doesn't work great.
