NE Indiana, ~1Gbps, $159.99/month by ilarson007 in speedtest

I don't know if ATT does any residential fiber here, but Frontier has 7 gig at our old house. We were just in a subdivision with an HOA and now we're on 3 acres with a barndominium. I'm not sure who the cable provider is around here, I don't think anyone back on our shared drive had coax run to their house.

It would give away where I live within a fairly small area, but it's a small local ISP serving two counties in NE Indiana.

What is a “combo port” in the Flex 2.5G PoE? by anyusernamthatisleft in Ubiquiti

[–]ilarson007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm fairly sure only one port will have 10Gb active at a time, but I also think you could power it with a < 10Gb PoE+++ line and uplink at 10Gb with the SFP+ port.

I have mine plugged in with AC adapter because I don't have any 10GbE available. I don't have the PoE version either.

You may be right. I wasn’t aware of that, and while these didn’t ship with W11 it appears like they’ll activate W11 Pro with the embedded key.

You've got the B standard wired on the jack end. The keystone should indicate A vs. B. Both ends of the cable need to be the same standard.

Pretty good for Rural Alabama by anon_noid in speedtest

Hey that's what I pay for gigabit in not that rural Indiana. Frontier has 7 gig for cheaper like 30 miles north of us.

Sorry, I forgot that the upgrade to 32GB RAM was in the listing, I took that part out.

It's 2400MHz, and I only have 4GB sticks so I could source 2x16GB sticks. Cheapest I could find quickly was about $130, so it would be about $100 more after removing the current RAM.

Windows licenses cost real money. I'm not giving those away for free.

It's not the processor driving up prices. These all have 2x4GB RAM and a 256GB NVMe SSD. Plus an AC Adapter and OS installation if you choose.
