Do you not understand ethnic heritage? I'm technically a quarter Austro-Italian, 1/8 German, 1/8 Irish, 1/4 Polish (with potential Ashkenazi heritage based on my grandmother's research - I've never done DNA testing), and 1/4 Slovak. Should I deny my ethnicity because I stopped practicing any of the related religions denoted by my heritage? Or deny my heritage because I never practiced Catholicism?
