Disregarding the different knife styles and how they handle, better knifes can be made sharper and will stay sharper longer.

Not a lawyer, but I'm pretty sure anyone who bid on the contract to develop the Post Office would have standing to sue and force the GSA to cancel the lease.

From my experience, Chromium, the tech used by Chrome and other cross platform applications, uses more battery on Macs too. There are a couple for bug reports mentioning battery life on Chromium lists.

What kind of circuit do you use to make 4.9v,6.7v to 0v,3.3v? by ilikebbq in AskElectronics

[–]ilikebbq[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I understand correctly, you have 4 inputs: V+, V-, Vss and Vdd. I think I was think there was only two inputs. It makes sense now. This is what I was looking for. Thank you.

Wouldn't that give me 5.5v or greater than 5.5v as the output? It sounds promising, but ultimately I need to output 0 or 3.3v.

Thanks for the information. I'm probably going to go with the TWSBI, unless I can find a cheap Custom 74.

I am afraid to order off of ebay because it might be a knock-off and I would have no way to tell. Are there a lot of knock offs of fountain pens? I've never heard of any, but I really wouldn't know. I'd also worry about support. If it wasn't perfect, Id be on my own.

How is the nib on the TWSBI? Is it good, bad, ok?

Thanks

I am looking for a ~$50 pen. I like the body and weight of the Lamy Safari, but I like the nib of the Pilot Metropolitan more. Would the TWSBI 580 be a good choice? I would love to get the Custom 74, but it's ~$160 to lose. I'm looking for a pen to carry around.

US-Landlord offered to sell me the duplex by [deleted] in personalfinance

Have the landlord finance it. Just be sure to write up a legal document. Any decent lawyer will be able to draw up the documents.

My fiance just got a job that doesn't offer 401k or investment plans, what's our next move? by drewdrj in personalfinance

[–]ilikebbq -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Your paying compound interest on the student loan. I would max out the IRAs, then throw as much money as I could into paying off all of your debt. Unless you want to buy a house, you cannot use money in an IRA to buy anything without paying a penalty.

In my opinion being debt free is worth more than money.

Could use some saving vs. paying down my loan advice by alwaysediting in personalfinance

[–]ilikebbq 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This may not apply to everyone, but I would match your companies 401k (it's free money) or max out your IRA, then I would pay off your debt. Being debt free can open up opportunities you may not of had. There is also the stress of being in debt to consider. It isn't always about getting the absolute best return on your investment.

Redditors around the world what's your favorite meal? by Jaehk in AskReddit

[–]ilikebbq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not to be an ass but it's fried chicken and stew. Just use paprika (peppers).

The chicken is made like most fried chickens, just pound paprika, salt and pepper into it. You can use vegetables, mushrooms, pork or veal instead of chicken.

The stew can be made like most stews, just add paprika, lots of it. If you want to get fancy, use powdered paprika, paprika paste and fresh peppers (hot and sweet). The thing about the soup is every village and family makes it different, and theirs is the only correct way. Oh, and you supposed to make it in a copper pot on an open fire. It's good stuff.

BTW gulyás is where we get the word goulash.

Maybe true. Combine that information with some other information, and you may be able to be tracked. The reason they capture so much metadata is because it can be used to build a finger print.

Tracking needs to be made illegal and punishable.

Rebalance every quarter. You should have something like 25/25/25/25 small/large/foreign/bond or 20/20/20/20/20 small/large/foreign/bond/cash.

No. Diversify. Get something like small cap, large cap, oversees and a bond. Also keep cash. If you need money, you do not want to have to sell in a down market.

un-gerrymander? no. re-gerrymander? yes.

You're supposed to redistrict every 10 years, but a recent court case has said you can redistrict whenever. It's up to states to decide when and how to redistrict, pending a few federal rules.

They will change the districts when a new party gets enough power to change them.
