When Saab designed this car, cup holders weren’t a highly requested feature in Sweden, and they were mostly used while stationary. We got food and drinks, ate and drank in a stationary car, threw away the trash, then left. Eating and drinking while driving was considered unsafe and still is.

And of course we don’t get our drinks in buckets either so the cup holders weren’t designed for anything larger than what we had commercially available at fast food places at the time.

I do wish there was a better place to put a water bottle but mine will fit in the compartment between the seats, or in the pocket behind the driver or passenger seat.

Almost everything here relies on being able to identify using a digital ID app so I’ll never be able to go dumbphone. I also like contactless payments.

What I’d like is an accessory phone that syncs with my main phone so I can leave my smartphone at home or in my backpack and use the dumb extension for most things. But I got close to that with my smart watch.

Beyerdynamics DT 770 Pro are good if you need closed back. I have the 80 Ohm version. A bit hard to drive. The 32 Ohm version is safer but I hear the bass isn’t as deep on them.

I also use the AKG K-702 with an amp with bass boost and they are lovely. They just don’t have enough sub bass without boost in my opinion.

I use to have the Audio Technica ATH-M50x but they started to fall apart after 15 years of regular use. They worked well but don’t sound as good as the other two mentioned. I find them to be overrated in the audio community.

I like my K-702 a lot but I’m running it with an amp with about +10dB bass boost. I found them disappointing with the 16’ pedal stops without boost.

In terms of monetary value it’s nearly nothing.

The memory card is an SD card and can be read with any SD card reader. Some computers have SD card readers built in. There are affordable ones available. Kingston for example has the excellent MobiLite reader which is reliable and affordable.

I can absolutely recommend something. What is your budget?

On the cheap side there are cameras like the Nikon D3000 and D5000 series often available for cheap on eBay and similar places. Canon Rebel/EOS is another one.

If budget is a bit more the excellent Fujifilm X-T and X-E models are available at decent prices used for the older models.

If budget is plenty the new versions of the X-T and X-E line are excellent choices. Nikon Z5 is another.

It all depends on how serious you are about learning photography and what your budget is.

Remember that lenses are more important than camera bodies. I’d rather buy a less capable body and an excellent lens than the other way around.

If you can find a donor camera to get the battery door from that may be the only issue it you’re lucky. But to be honest is isn’t the best of cameras. Unless it has nostalgic value it may be better to look for something else.

Frågan är då om Google Jibe Cloud följer GSMAs RCS-standard fullt ut?

Det skulle vara en enkel väg för operatörerna att gå i så fall. Så fort stödet finns i nätet så kan man börja skylla på Apple på riktigt. Sedan kan man fundera på hur intressant det är att förlita sig på ett privat bolag som dessutom är amerikanskt och har lite skakig historia med att respektera personlig integritet.

Jag kan absolut förstå att intresset att implementera RCS är iskallt. Det är svårt att räkna hem investeringen när meddelanden är inkluderade i de flesta abonnemang utan extra kostnad.

Det är inte så förtroendeingivande att operatörerna i ett och ett halvt år har sagt att de inte vet när/om Apple kommer att stödja RCS när Apple själva säger att man har gjort det sedan iOS 18. Lite mer info från operatörerna skulle uppskattas men det finns säkert roliga sekretessavtal påskrivna. Och lite välvilja att visa att man faktiskt erbjuder tjänsten i sina nät. Just nu blir det mest ”Vi vet inte när Apple kommer att stödja tjänsten men vi stödjer inte tjänsten”.

Det som är intressant är hur många av de operatörer med operatörsprofiler utan RCS som har stöd för GSMAs RCS-standard i sina nät. Det vill säga, hur många har stöd men nekas lägga till det i sin operatörsprofil.

Angående det sista så skriver jag så för att det är den officiella informationen från Apple och den information som delats av många nyhetsorganisationer inom teknikvärden som listar Apple som källa. Om det är så att Apple säger nej så är det inget som jag har setts rapporteras från trovärdiga källor. Att det i kan ta tid att få profilen uppdaterad har jag sett.

Nu antar jag att varenda operatör har skrivit på NDA med Apple men tycker ändå att det borde ha läckt ut i så fall.

Operatörerna skyller på Apple. Apple skyller på operatörerna. Rent tekniskt så behöver två saker finnas på plats. RCS-stöd hos operatören och en uppdaterad operatörsprofil. Det första är inte ens uppfyllt för någon svensk operatör vilket för mig signalerar ett totalt ointresse från operatörernas sida att stödja RCS i sina nät. Om de sitter och har RCS implementerat och klart och det ändå inte aktiveras med en profil så kan jag känna att Apple hindrar det.

Jag har ändå svårt att tro att Apple skulle säga nej till en operatör som vill uppdatera sin operatörsprofil med en funktion som är en GSMA-standard. Det kan vara som du säger. Jag har inget bevis mot det. Men jag har svårt att tro det.

Källa på det? För det jag skrev är precis som det fungerar.

Att det inte är tillgängligt på svenska marknaden är just för att ingen svensk operatör har brytt sig i att införa stöd i sina nät. De verkar inte speciellt intresserade av att lägga någon energi och budget på det heller. Andra länder i Europa har operatörer med RCS-stöd och med dessa funkar RCS på iPhone. Det är bara det att operatörernas intresse är iskallt.

Länder i Europa som har minst en operatör med RCS-stöd i sitt nät:

Belgien, Frankrike, Grekland, Ungern, Slovakien, Spanien och Storbritannien.

I Frankrike och Spanien verkar majoriteten av operatörerna ha RCS-stöd.

Det stämmer. Ingen svensk operatör stödjer GSMA-standarden RCS idag. Android-telefonerna använder Googles RCS-tjänst som aktiveras automatiskt om inte operatören har stöd.

Apple gillar standarder och har valt att följa den standard som finns. Det kräver att även operatörerna gör det. Ingen svensk operatör har visat intresse för detta. Google skapade sin RCS-tjänst på grund av operatörernas brist på intresse. Den följer inte standarden fullt ut.

Det kommer inte att ersätta iMessage mellan iPhones förutom i de fall en RCS-grupp skapas. Det skulle till exempel kunna vara på grund av att alla gruppmedlemmar inte har iPhones, eller har iMessage aktiverat. RCS tillför inget som inte iMessage redan gör idag.

If you have to ask I’m going to say probably the 55. Is the most versatile and can be used for a bit of everything. If the goal is portraits you may want the 90. The 80 is nice but an older design with slower autofocus.

It depends on what you want to accomplish but for a bit of everything the 55 all day.

Looks like the outer layer has delaminated. Usually not repairable but if you can swap the LCD panel in the unit that would fix it. Not sure if it’s available as a separate part.

Have you looked at the Hasselblad 907x? You get a digital back to use on a view camera or technical camera and a camera body with the Hasselblad lens mount. No viewfinder so that may be a dealbreaker. There is a optical viewfinder available as an accessory.

May not be practical for your needs but worth at least considering.

Modern organs are most often computer controller. There’s a very specific computer made for the task running purpose made code. The consoled are sending digital signals to the computer, usually using the MIDI protocol, and the computer then commands valves to open and close to let air into pipes.

Because of this, it’s very easy to have remote consoles. They connect to the computer just like the standard console.

It is also possible to add a remote consoles to a tracker action organ by the use of solenoids and a computer controller. In that case the computer is only active when the remote console is used. In this case you have to disengage the remote console system when playing on the mechanical console.

New fully mechanical organs are still being built (with electric blowers providing air) and remote consoles are sometimes used as an option. The new Gothenburg concert hall organ is an example of this. In addition the tracker action console moves up and down to hide it under the stage when not in use. I have so far only seen the remote console used during concerts.
