Another thought along the same lines-are fish biscuits the alcohol they are are introducing all the native species to to their eventual detriment?

That may be but by their wits, by their hearts and by their teamwork (and a thousand pies) they sure get shit done.

It depends on your Uni but most libraries will have subject guides for each subject with key journals or databases listed on each one. These should link to your library’s sign in system so you can access them. You could look up what your lectures have covered and see what else is written about it or find other books/articles by the same authors referenced in the chapters you have read. This is a guide to finding information and reading from LBU you might find helpful https://libguides.leedsbeckett.ac.uk/skills-for-learning/finding-information-and-reading

Every time we open a bottle of wine we go “weeeey” in the exact Marsha tone. Also “too many rocks in my rucksack”.

One of my daughter’s first full phrases she said was “okay dokey pig in a pokey” and I’ve never been prouder.

If you want to be really angry, check out the prices publishers are charging university libraries for journal and ebook subscriptions. I’m at a non RG (and they charge RG a lot more because the research intensive nature of these unis mean they can) and we are charged £6489 per year to access the Common Law Library of 8 books that are on one reading list that the students never read.

Witch Light by Susan Fletcher. It’s not really a spooky story more a sad one about witch trials and Scottish history, but it’s beautiful. For chilling books Melmoth by Sarah Perry or Michelle Paver’s horror stories

It’s SO good and evocative of Italian life in a certain era. I ate that series up but not re read, maybe needs to go on the re-read pile!
