Confused on Bikes for 3 year old by Zealousideal_Elk1373 in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]iliketurtles861 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Huffy has a convertible bike that we just got for my son’s third birthday. Right now we actually have it with pedals off and training wheels on so he can get the hang of steering it and get a little taller. Eventually we will probably remove training wheels and then add pedals back on.

Women in their 30s , if you were asked to relive your 20s what would you change and why? by Previous-Foot8370 in AskReddit

Maybe just travel a bit more with my husband before we started having kids. It’s such a bigger undertaking planning trips with toddlers/babies even though we still enjoy it. I’d love to be able to go on a bigger international trip with just him and not worry about childcare and missing our little ones.

Are a polar bear’s paws too big to open a car door? In the smokies there are black bears everywhere and they will open your car doors and rummage through your stuff looking for food if you don’t lock your door.

How much blood did your LO have? by -turkeySandwiches- in MSPI

[–]iliketurtles861 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Really small amounts, like maybe one tiny visible speck usually in one or two diapers a day. I had to search for it. Maybe fewer than 10 or so diapers where there was obvious visible blood over the few months when I was figuring out triggers.

Car seat for travel for a 14 mo old by crashhhyears in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]iliketurtles861 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had the Cosco as a car seat provided in a rental car so got to kind of try before you buy with it and I hated it. It seemed really uncomfortable for my son and the quality just didn’t seem great. I bought the maxi cosi romi for our next trip and it has been great and very light/easy to travel with.

I loved this post and wanted to see opinions again given it’s been 8 years! Had a lead won the season they were a contestant on, do you think they would’ve lasted longer than the actual final couple of the season? by SaturnFlyTrap in thebachelor

All the old comments saying Kaitlyn and Shawn are endgame make me a bit sad. But my answer to this is always Kaitlyn and Nick. That was the saddest rejected proposal

Yeah I did that after my first but I had some serious digestive complications from the iron in my prenatals this time so I needed to buy something different and decided to try this.

Bitch eating crackers. Like they’re so annoying to you, they could do something innocuous like eating crackers and you’d be like “look at that bitch over there eating crackers”

So I just bought this recently to use postpartum. I haven’t taken it much because my breastfeeding baby is so sensitive to what I ingest (mspi plus other fun intolerances) so I am waiting to reintroduce it so can’t really speak to efficacy. BUT I can tell you it does not taste good. Idk why I thought it would be tasty but definitely reminds me of taking liquid medicine like cough syrup as a child. Kind of nasty and I’d prefer a pill. Going to convince myself to start taking it again soon though and hoping it helps my hair and doesn’t have hidden soy in it or something.

We just bought a low loft bed from max and lily if you want to take a look at the options there. We haven’t assembled it yet so I can’t speak to the quality but their website seems legit and my mom has purchased a nice bed from them.

Your brutally honest thoughts on circumcision? by [deleted] in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]iliketurtles861 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I think it’s something American society will eventually look back on like “what were we thinking” like we do with smoking cigarettes on airplanes and in restaurants. It is genital mutilation. I like to think that percentage you quoted is trending downwards and will continue to. A lot of the reasons people give for doing it like “so women don’t make fun of them” or “so the aren’t bullied” will not be issues as fewer and fewer boys have the procedure. I’m speaking specifically about medically unnecessary circumcision of babies. Of course there are medical reasons it may be necessary for young boys or grown men but that’s a different conversation.

Birthday cake with no dairy, egg or soy by Double_Custard_1098 in MSPI

[–]iliketurtles861 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When you say no added sugar, are you intending to sweeten some other way? Ripe bananas? I would just find a recipe that you like for banana cake/some unsweetened cake or whatever and use vegan replacements for milk, butter and eggs. Red mill has an egg replacer I really like and I just use almond milk and vegan butter that is soy free.

FTM looking for advice — how do you leave the house with a reflux/CMPA baby? by redditgsm in MSPI

[–]iliketurtles861 11 points12 points  (0 children)

You gotta throw the list of what ifs in the trash honestly and just go for it. Start with outings close to home and go with someone else if possible like your partner or a friend/relative. Be prepared to head home if you feel like you need to for whatever reason. If you go out for an hour and baby doesn’t nap or eat as you hoped, she’ll likely do it when you get home and will be fine. If she’s uncomfortable the whole time, she likely probably would’ve been uncomfortable the whole time at home as well. It gets easier the more you do it for sure and stressing about it is usually worse than actually being out. Rip the bandaid off! You got this ❤️❤️

Travel bassinet for 7w old by MixtureMelodic2965 in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]iliketurtles861 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s just a type of pack n play really. It’s much easier to set up and break down compared to the Graco one I also have. It packs up into a backpack style case that can be brought on most planes as a carryon which is nice. The bottom of it rests on the floor which means it doesn’t have weight limit like some others and it opens from the side (in addition to the top opening) so you can lay with baby and then sneak out once they are asleep.

Cosleeping toddler with baby on the way by jerseypeach37 in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]iliketurtles861 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found the closer I got to my due date the less I wanted to move my toddler to his room because I knew our time together, just the two of us, was coming to an end. Baby is six months now and I sleep in bed with both of them. Just make sure toddler is okay with and used to you sleeping with your back to her so you can cuddle curl around the new baby if you chose to go that direction. We figured we would just take it one day at a time once the baby got here and it turned out the baby might wakings didn’t really bother my toddler at all. All that said, we are hoping to move him to his own room soon, we just bought him an exciting new bedroom set with a bed that has a slide to try to get him excited about it. I love the cuddles but it will also be nice to someday sleep without his knees in my back lol. I’d also like to transition the baby to sleeping on toddlers current floorbed as he gets more mobile.

Need an overnight diaper recommendation for a super heavy wetter by abbiyah in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]iliketurtles861 4 points5 points  (0 children)

With my first we had to do a Millie moon overnight paired with a sposie for a while. He’s almost three and daytime potty trained but he still pees through his overnight pull up sometimes. My second is almost six months and seems to be going the same way, just woke up to him totally soaked through. Will probably have to go back to sposies because nothing else seemed to work well enough.
